You stated " was working fine" , It was working fine in windows 7? windows 8? In Device Manager you can do a scan for hardware changes. Does the webcam show? if no, it might show unknown device if you will have to find the drivers for the webcam at the HP drivers and support. You can try a RE-Boot the software will try to locate a driver, if it cannot it wiil ID it as a unknown device, you will have to find the driver, this is common with a new OS or a upgrade on a machine.

Webcam failed when upgraded to Win 10

What OS were you using when you upgraded? If you were using Windows 7, you could try to download and install the Windows 8 driver for the camera. These will often work under Windows 10.

My funcam model DMVC300K won't work with windows 7. Driver not installed, and i have the cd that came with the camera. Help

Took from the FAQ on Phillips support page

At the time this webcam was designed, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems did not exist yet.
Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems.
Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7.
We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.

No webcam icon for my HP dv 1603 tn laptop and no audio after upgrade to wndows 7. please help me.. thanks

If you did a retail or OEM upgrade to Win7, you are likely missing the drivers necessary to run your webcam and audio. Click on the Start pearl on the bottom left corner, then right-click on Computer. In the context menu, choose Manage. A window should appear. On the left side of that window, click Device Manager. Information should populate in the right hand pane. If you see any devices with a yellow icon, you are missing drivers for these devices. In order to download those drivers, first go to HP's Support Page for the Mini 1000 and choose your specific model number. Then, make sure you choose Win 7 as your Operating System. Look for the webcam and audio drivers, as well as any other missing drivers you've found in Device Manager, and download and install them.

When installing webcam software (Pro 9000) the setup does not recognise my IE and aborts the setup. Have IE7 working. Thanks.

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 and then try installing again. You can install the newer version by running windows update (browsing to update.microsoft.com with Internet Explorer). It may be an optional update, so be sure to do a "Custom" update and manually select the Internet Explorer 8 Install.

Web cam was working just fine on vista, upgraded to windows 7 with all drivers and now its not working and im not a tech novice.. the picture icon windows 7 had for the camera wasnt even correct, has...

try to reinstall the drivers and let windows do it on it's own after a restart..

proceed as follows:

re-install the driver for the webcam. You will need to be logged in as an Administrator or have an Administrator password ready.1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Click Control Panel, System and Maintenance and then Device Manager.
3. Right-click on Chicony USB 2.0 Camera and select Update Driver Software. A yellow exclamation point indicates that the camera is recognized by Windows but is not working properly, probably because of problem with the device driver
4. Select Browse my computer for the driver software.
5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6. Select USB Video Device from the list, and click Next.
7. If the message “Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device” appears, click Close.
8. Restart Windows.
The webcam should now work properly.

another solution to attempt:

did you use the Toshiba sofware installer for windows 7??
if not follow the instructions found here and use this tool to install the sofware need on your system.

Is there a driver for D-Link Ver.2.10 DSB-C310 webcam on Vista?

Hey xanthia2313,
According to the manufacturer this webcam is not compatible with Vista. You can try searching for a driver that would make it work using the update driver option.

Sincerely,
