Need to replace broken part on Simac Pastamatic machine

If you give the paddle a nudge, will it start ? If so most likely the big capacitor inside the machine. This capacitor will kick start the motor. If it is gone, the motor does not get enough power to get going. It is easy to replace once you have the cover off and should cost around $7.

Best I can recommend is to go to www.delonghi-accessories.com. It's the site of a US distributor for Delonghi, which is the parent company of Simac, and it lists numbers for support.
You could try www.simac-vetrella.com if you speak Italian; or www.simac.com.au (I think this is a retailers site) might have parts, also.

did you ever manage to source parts for this?

only place i even found it listed as a product was on the www.delonghi.com.au no idea where to get parts though as i need a new dasher motor cover + pulley (mine seems to of overheated and distorted beyond working point) i have emailed 7 different spares compaies so far in the uk but no luck as yet, i dont want to ask the AUS branch for the spares due to the postage but looks like it might be the only option.

anyhow hope you did manage to find one and if so perhaps you could post a reply to let us know

The accompanying manual has an 800 number for service: 223-1898.  It also lists an email of Ielloappliances at aol dot com.  I haven't been able to find a web presence for customer support.
