Nice old style machine. I think the motor has a two speed control on those. Low speed does wash and high speed does spin. There is some help in this link.

Check for a bad heater or thermostat.

two possible problems
the air blower is not running properly
too many clothes being dried restricting air flow

The element will be at the back of the dryer behind the drum I will give you a link to a video that will show you how to do this .It is not a hard fix and takes 15 to 20 minutes..

How many wires do you have? If only two, the heater element doesn't care which wire is attached since it is being fed with AC current there is no polarity to it.

If its not heating up correctly you could have a bad thermostat, blocked up vent or dirty lint screen, or possible the coils that go near the ignitor need replacing.

as with basic spin faults -a number of reasons usually 1 motor brushes, 2 motor 3 motor control pcb or the obvious one - the belt has come off.

Hello, if your clothing are sorted imbalanced you will have that problem. Ensure they are evenly distributed.
If that doesnt solve the problem, there is a bolt that is broken on the agitator shaft. Lift out the top cap from the agitator, take out the plastic seal beneath, remove the bolt, lift agitator out.
There are two horizontal bolts holding the inner-drum to the shaft. replace both.Be sure to tighten all the way.
