It does not show as connected. Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port. Then connect pc to any other port. Done! Test it with network cable to pc before trying a wireless device.

Default IP is 192.168.1.1 Use web browser to access. User: Admin Password: password.

There is reset option in the back. Hold it in till it cycles. This will clear all custom settings.

Can't connect to router interface 192.168.1.1

Took another look by fixing word wrapping in notepad.

It's missing DNS Servers. Check your NIC settings and make sure you don't have a DNS server manually set to another IP. Plus, you might try resetting the router to default in case there is a DNS modification there.

I'm not sure if this is the cause, but I couldn't hurt. It's part of trouble shooting.

Good Luck!

May 2008 domain controller is up and running but i cannot join it with my windows 7 laptop, "domain path not found"

Ah this is an easy one, make sure the laptops MAC address (this can be found by going into the laptops command line and typing 'ipconfig /all') Then you need to go into Doman users and computers (active directory) and add that MAC address to the computers group.
If this doesn't work...make sure your laptop is connecting through the same network. use the cmd line tool Ipconfig /all to find out the ip address of your server and your laptop. If your laptop's default gateway doesn't match that of your server's...you could be cross networking. Try the "ping" command like this go to the command line on your laptop and type Ping <ip address for server> if you can ping it, you can connect with it....also check your group policy that enables wireless connections.

When you get home, do the following:
  1. Connect your computer to the modem with an Ethernet cable.
  2. Go to start -> Control panel -> Network Connections
  3. Find a connection called "Local Area Connection"
  4. Right-click and choose "Properties"
  5. Scroll down until you see "Internet Protocol TCP/IP"
  6. Double click it.
  7. Make sure that both buttons for "Obtain...automatically" are checked.
  8. Click "OK" until all windows are closed.
  9. Open a command prompt (Win-key+R) and type "cmd"
  10. In the following window type "ipconfig /release"
  11. When that is finished type "ipconfig /renew"
  12. When that is finished, type "ipconfig /all > C:\fixya.txt". This will create a text file on your C: drive.
  13. Copy the contents of the file and post it here as a comment, if you still can not access a webpage.

I will bookmark this page and come back here later or tomorrow to see what you posted.
