I have a m-audio buddy using a mlx 990. I have this hooked to 200 ohm peavy amp. The problem is I can barely touch the gain on the pre-amp or the amp without getting extreme feedback.

Make sure the Phantom Power on the Audio buddy is on. If that fails, get in touch with MXL and they will troubleshoot it with you.

first check the ground as it is the most important par to the wiring and operation of an amp. itshould be t the frame of the careand touching clean bare metal no paint! if that doesnt work it may be going into termal protection meaning ts getting too hot. you should always be able to continously keep yourhand on the amp, if its too hot try backing the gains down a little. next make sure the spakers are ired to a safe impedance for the amp. if its wired too low it might could put the amp into protect mode or blow it! most amps are only 2 ohm stable nd 4 ohm stable when you bridge them...hope this helps!

No, that'll use two channels to power one sub. First, is the gain turned up? There's a knob on the amp to turn it up. If the gain is already up, and if the amp is two-ohm stable, then wire the subs in parallel. I'm assuming the subs are each hooked up to their own individual channel. Swap the two negative wires at the amp, so sub 1 is hooked up to channel 1 positive and channel 2 negative, and vice versa for the other sub. That'll dramatically increase the output. Again, make sure the amp documentation says it is 2-ohm stable, or you'll damage your system.

change the audio amplifiers IC´s are damaged

one of the channels your using may be burned out or there is sum wire touching inside the amp so take the cover off and make sure nuthn is touching and see if sumthn is burnt and also try using a different channel on the sub

Sounds like you need to invest in a capacitor. Those are used when subs receive a bass spike. You just a need a 1 Farat Capacitor (1,000 watts) ran between the head unit and the amplfiier to fix your issue. Also, try reducing the volume gain to half gain and low pass frequency to half gain; this will increase your clarity and make your amp less hot. This may fix it without a capacitor. Also find out what amprage your alternator is. Your alternator may not be designed to run the amplifier. Most alternators are 200 amps now if they are gold plated.

Your other preamp does not have phantom power to supply power to the microphone. All condensor mics like this need phantom power. The Audio Buddy provides phantom power, which is why it was shipped with those condensor mics

Hey I Have These Mics They Work Awesome. But Yes Feedback Is A Problem You Need To Move Away From The Speakers Way Away. Try Lowering Your Highs Or Invest In A Feedback Eliminator They Are Like 89 Bucks But Obviously That Would Almost Cost As Much As The Mic Set. Anyways Feedback Is Made When A Microphone Can Hear Itself Maybe Try Headphone?

have you checked the input sensor on the amp?
