Common problem with is SONY 17" and the 19" are due to fail lamp assembly as shown in my pictures here which will be the worst case. You will need to check the other parts in the set first. Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

The problem is in the inverter board it is on the verge of failure, it is caused by bad capacitors in most cases and will eventually go. The board must be replaced or an attempt to repair the old one.
