Setting tax rate

Did what the manual said and still no tax rate

    We called customer service (Diana who was GREAT!) and apparently we didn't go to the end of the Quick Start instructions on pg. 12 ...part G ... you have to link the tax to a department! Otherwise the tax won't set in memory. The DEPARTMENT keys are to the left of the TOTAL key ... to link to department #1, after you add the tax in, then you have to hit the 1/9 key.

How do you set the tax rate (GST) in the Casio 140cr cash register?
1) Turn Switch key to PGM

2) press the TAX PGM key

3) enter tax rate ( example 6% is 6 , 5.75% enter 5.75

4) press the Dept key you want that tax rate set too .

5) repeat steps 3&4 for diffrent tax rates or depts.

6) press Sub total key to end programming

How change percentage (tax) rate on Casio-1100TV?
FINALLY figured out how to change the tax rate! Press AC. Press and hold the Rate Set (%) button UNTIL THE CURRENT TAX RATE IS DISPLAYED. Enter the new rate you want (such as 7.5). Press the Rate Set (%) button again.

Lost manual, How do I figure sales tax?
press AC
while holding AC press SET/%
while holding SET/% release AC
your screen should read SET on top
now press TAX+(TAX RATE)
enter tax rate 6.25
then press the SET% again,
you just changed your tax rate

I have no manual
Press and hold SET until screen has SET EXCH along the top. Press TAX+ (this will show existing tax rate) enter new tax rate then press SET once more. Tax rate is now set. Hope this helps!!!!

Setting tax rate on a canon P170-DH
To set the tax rate, slide the "GT" switch to RATE. Enter the tax rate (i.e., 4.5 for 4 1/2 %). The display should show 4.5 %. Slide the "GT" switch to OFF.

Set tax
To set your tax rate:

1. Be sure to switch to "rate set" from GT
2. Enter the tax amount like so - if your tax rate is 7% type in 7%
3. Go back to the GT setting and it should work...at least that is how I fixed mine! I did the same thing last week & have no manual!

How do you set a tax rate?!?!?
1. Switch off the calculator
2. Switch it on again
3. Press and hold the tax button (set %) until the display changes
4. Enter the new tax rate
5. Press the tax button (tax +)
