It is NOT normal... Apparently one side of the audio drive is bad, Take it in for WARRANTY repair immediately. Also read your manual in regards to "Panning" and any settings for it.

SOURCE: Korg mini kp only some effects working. Low sound output

I have the same Kaoss Pad mini and have exactly the same problem. I have asked for a solution as well!

The only way I have been able to use live is to turn up master on mixer to compensate, but this is incredibly hard to do if you're not always going through the KP as you have to adjust master volume each time up or down.

I haven't heard any volume problems with the full size Kaoss Pads, think it might just be a KP mini problem.

The power amp driving the dead speaker has gone bad or if you are lucky only a cable has fallen off. Open and inspect unit.

The first thing is to verify that it is supposed to work with a particular performance. NOT ALL voices support modulation as well as pitch bend and with an arranger you can turn this feature on and off, usually in the utility functions and then save the setting for each performance/song. Read you user manual about modulation. On page 271 of your manual they show that the joystick is assignable. You have to assign the functions to the effect you want.

Hello Brian, It could be a ground loop problem, I usually get something similar when connecting a laptop to an amplifier. You can purchase ground loop isolators from car hifi places which are used to take ground loop problems out of car audio systems. They are very cheap so maybe worth trying this first. I got one for £12. They have stereo RCA input/outputs and require no power.

Hopefully this is of help to you.

SOURCE: I have a new kaoss kp and when I put headphones in

The Mini KP is an effect processor primarily. Sound passes in and through either with or without processing and effecting. Due to this fact you must have an incoming signal to process, or you wont hear anything. However there are a few settings that act more like a synth and tone generator. To initiate an effect you must touch the pad and hold contact. There is a hold button on the lower left side facing down. If you hit this button while an effect is being created, then you can let go without the effect stopping. You can adjust the effect in real time as well. Out of the 99 presets if you have tried them all with absolutely no sound output, then the problem is physical and will need a repair man/woman.

The line output of the Korg pa 50sd is not clear. It trembles. Can any body give a solution?

If the problem still exists after trying multiple cables and speakers then the problem is either the jack itself or the amplifier in the unit. This should easily be fixed by an authorized service center.

So you're saying with headphones you also only hear one side? I would suspect the internal amp is panned all to one side. There are also several other settings in this unit where pan can be set so you may have to check several areas. If you don't have any specific custom settings made I would try a restore to factory defaults. If that doesn't resolve it you likely have a hardware failure which is likely not repairable. I strongly suspect a panning issue though.

How to perform a factory reset?

1. Power-off the PS60.
2. While holding down the four PERFORMANCE buttons and the OCTAVE DOWN button, power- on the PS60. The PS60 will be initialized, and the factory-set data will be written into internal memory. The display will indicate "Initializing..." while data is being written. Never turn off the power while this indication is shown.

The amp power light comes on but there is no power / sound .

Do some tests: Plug a set of headphones into the line outs and tell us which ones if any have sound. Note that only one side of the headphones may have sound and it may be low volume. We need to know if anything is coming fromt he preamp. Makesure the output switch is set to one of the speaker on positions and not just phones.

My Korg CX-3 Combo Organ turns on, but when it's plugged in to an amplifier, I don't hear anything and it doesn't generate any sounds except for a clicking noise when hitting the key. I hope you can help...

From the user manual troubleshooting:

No sound

• Are the other devices or headphones connected

correctly?

Check the connections. ........................................ (see p.6)

• Is the power of your amp or mixer turned on?

• Is the [MASTER LEVEL] knob raised?

• Is the Global mode Group 4 "MIDI Local" parameter

turned On?

Check the setting of this parameter.

• Are the bars of Drawbar 1 or 2 pulled out?
Pull out some of the bars.

Also check out this site and scroll down and do the "Factory reset" by holding down the buttons they say... AND please note that you have to hold them for a while during this.

No sound

1. plug in some headphones into the jack.
2. connect to an amplifier or external source.
3. connect midi to a midi-compatible device and determine if device receives signal by pressing keys

If #1 or #2 passes, your speakers are bad.

If #1 & #2 fail, but #3 passes, your setting are set so that there is no sound, but the keybourd still recognizes input.

If all three fail, the keys do not send a signal at all, you should replace the keyboard.
