Philips 32" tv won't stay on

Sypmtoms are it turns on, stays on 15 mins or so, then turns off by itself and won't turn back on for at least 30 to 60 minutes. It doesn't matter if you unplug it or not. There are no red blinking code lights. Took back cover off, and all of the capacitors look fine. No burned spots on any of the boards. I'm at a loss.

Quite possibly one of the heat sinks has come loose or a power supply cooling fan has failed.
Have you tried blowing it out using canned air?

hello, amigo if the all the caps are godd then you have to replace the power supply board. don't try to fix it this is not an easy task. you are looking at almost $200.00 with tax an shipping. just go to google and type your tv model # and ask for the power supply board or just look for the part# on the board itself. good luck

Are there any blown caps on the PSB-power supply board. Most sets have sammy boards and they used very shotty caps. If there are no visual clues being a poped cap at the top (X) they simply often do vaporize and dry out. The YSUS-Main and the 2 Y buffer boards control the picture OSD-on screen display. Your not getting any of that. So power supply is where you start first. The YBU-upper and the YBL-lower control the upper and lower OSD the Ysus main control both of them. Usually if you have one in the door you have to replace all 3. But not always. If you were to replace any of the boards I would replace the YSUS-Main, or get the board reworked at a pc repair shop that does board level test and repai. Its more cost effective.

My Philips 51PP9200D/37 tv won't turn on. The lighted power button stays lite but nothing else happens. Could this be the Flyback transformer?

It could but it could be about 50 other things as well. You have a voltmeter, and know how to use it? going to need a service manual as well.

Sounds like your power board is shutting down as it gets hot. I would get prices for and replace the power board!

TV Turning on and off by its self

You have problems with a condenser that allow the power supply to maintan an acceptable level of voltage in order to keep the TV on. take to a tech to be fixed. unfortunatelly, this problem needs a tech to take measures in the circuitry to find the component that causes the problem.

Sony TV keeps shutting down ever 5 mins

Could be loose connections on the board where the solder is expanding as it heats up causing a loose connection or something in the power supply or horizontal is over heating and your tv is going into shutdown protection . Good luck
