error E 2 => The machine is out of paper. / Paper does not feed.

Reload paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder and press the Black or Color button.

There are a few things you can try:

1. Power reset; press and hold the Power button until it the machine starts a diagnostic mode; if this doesn't turn on the machine, unplug it for 10 minutes and upon plugging it back in, see if the error reset itself
2. Unplug all USB devices (including the printer) and reboot the computer. Once the computer has rebooted, plug in the printer, allow it to install (it should install automatically) and see if the error is corrected. Sometimes there can be a temporary conflict and the only way to solve it is to remove all other USB devices (this can work for external hard drives too).

Those cartridges don't refill unless you have a way to reset the internal chip. Check online for refillable cartridges or a chip resetter. For priming you go into printer properties and choose maintenance and head cleaning, or choose cleaning from the front panel.

i got a same prob..i can't print,scan and copy and the refill warning always appeared..i hv refill the cartridge and i shut it down and try again and again..it's the cartridge prob or the printer prob..?

Error Code 4 is the machine detects no cartridge. You must insert both cartridges in order to use it.
