My hoover fridge freezer keeps freezing everything inside, could you help?
Hello
I have the same problem and have talked to the manufacturer. They said to turn off the appliance for 24 hours then it should be good as new when you switch it back on. Obviously you'll have to find somewhere for your freezer contents. I'm going to try this myself tonight.
Fridge Reboot!
I tried solution 1 without success, so I resorted to switching the whole unit off at night and on in the day to stop it freezing up. After about a week of doing this it started working properly again. One month later it is still OK
The Hoover (Candy) Fridge Freezer that i looked at today had a sensor on the evaporator that appears to be the only one in the unit, if this is so the fault can only be either this sensor that has 2 white wires + 2 blue wires, or the control module on the front of the unit....
With the unit switched off , remove control panel at the top. check circuit of the blue wires and white wires of 5 pin plug..should be a circuit through if the unit is cold...white will be open circuit if unit is room temp.
this will probably point to the control module being faulty.

Hello,
I have a Hoover HCA390FFK Fridge/Freezer and the fridge gets too cold, i.e makes coke cans explode as content is frozen.
I have replaced the thermostat with another fridge thermostat for this model, and placed the probe into the identical place as previous, covering it then with foam spray and this has not worked, so asking, do I need to replace now the PCB or the rotating control knob , or both !
Mike
I have exactly the same problem. Please let me know if you find a solution. RogerD
