SOURCE: Reassembling the Hitachi NR 83A2 (S) magazine

The reason that you are having trouble re-assembling the ribbon spring is that you need three hands to complete the job. As you recall the nail pusher just slips into the front of the rails. The pusher has the spring and a pin to retain the spool in place. Install the spring with the bolt hole towards leaver and slip into the front of rails. Take a small paper clip and bend a small hook to catch the ribbon spring. Hook the springs bolt hole with the paper clip and hold the spring in the approximate position for bolt as you push the assembly into rails and use latch to hold. While holding spring with paperclip, insert bolt thru rails and spring into nosepiece. Just break off the paperclip at this point and you are almost done. Some nailers have a metal support clip that you would need to have in place on bolt before installing bolt thru spring. For a breakdown of the gun go to www.toolpartsdirect.com. The other bolt for rails has a support/guide for the safety foot. Good luck and email if you have questions.

SOURCE: On the Hitachi NR83A2 nailer. Where does the end

Hi,
It goes thru the same hole as the magazine bolt on the nose. Sounds like yours is broken.

Assuming you have an NR83A
The main reason the driver won't return is the Cylinder exhaust ring is missing, broken, or improperly installed.
Also check to make sure there is not a nail jammed in the nose inhibiting the driver from returning.
My recommendation is to install a Service Kit #18000 which includes the exhaust ring.

My nt50ae2 brad nailer jams in the magazine. the feeder rides on top of the nails.

This happens. The follower jumps over the nails and the magazine binds.

Step 1. Remove nails, unplug hose.
Step 2. Remove the bolt at the bottom of the magazine with a 2.5mm hex key.
Step 3. Remove the magazine while holding the nail follower in place to the magazine cover.
Step 4. Carefully remove the nail follower and gently extend the yellow warning indicator and follower spring.
Step 6. Inspect the nail follower. There should be 3 indentations that are stamped into nail follower face. This is the culprit.
Step 7. With a small punch, make these three indentations deeper.
Step 8. Assemble and test. Repeat if necessary.

Hope this helps.

How do you replace the feeder spring on the Senco Framepro 601

You have to remove two cap (hex) screws at the back of the magazine that go through the frame. Then the magazine should slip easily off the nose piece and the feeder shoe with the feed spring roller will come out the front of the magazine. Install the new spring and roller in the feed shoe and make sure the spring hooks on to the top of the magazine when you slide the shoe back in. Put the magazine on the frame and you'll be back in business.

How to you replace the recoil spring, is there a trick that i dont know about

Not sure which model you have but there are usually screws on each side of the magazine where it is held on to the nose. Remove those screws and the one that holds the bracket at the rear of the gun body. Once you remove the magazine you should be able to see how the spring is held into place. If you have the model number you can find a tool diagram for it here;

My hitachi nr 83a leaks air at the trigger

Often a trigger leak in the NR83A is caused by a bad gasket in the head #877-327. If this is improperly installed, cracked, or overcompressed it will cause the trigger to leak.
It is uncommon for the trigger itself to be the problem.

It will double fire sinking second nail only half way. This happens every third or fourth shot. The nailer is a Hitachi NR 83A 3.25in. X .131

the pin pushing your nails is loose and the guides are warned .
try to change the guides and you will see that this problem will will be gone .
one last thing , make sure the coils are in good shape as it may create some feeding problems and push 2 nails at once
