When you look at the cart. you will see little contact points, the same are in the cart. holder cavity. Sometimes these contact points get ink on them and can not read the cart. Start the process of installing the ink cart. When the holder is positioned to install the cart. -- disconnect the power. This will keep the holder in this position so you may try to clean the contact points. Use a Q-tip and a high alcohol base cleaner. DO NOT SOAK - but dip the Q-tip into the cleaner and then gently rub the tip across the contact points in one direction -- say from left to right -- not back and forth. You should turn the tip after each pass and you may need a couple Q-tip to clean the contact area. After you are done, no more ink on the Q-tip, let the cleaner dry ( about 1 min depending on the alcohol base) then take a dry Q-tip and wipe off haze if any. MAke sure everthing is clean of the area and power on, do ink install process and try to print.

F4100 cannot print, replace ink. Not printing test page.

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or
poor ink cartridge contacts.

Light flashes cartridge change, and change the cartridge and still flashing hp deskjet 920c

Hi,
Make sure Orange protective cap (tape) has been removed from the bottom of the ink cartridge.
Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled. Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press PUSH mark until ink cartridge click into the place.

Hope this will solve your problem.
Thanks for using Fixya.

HP Deskjet 722c appears to print but the page is blank. New toner cartridges have been installed

If the clean test page shows streaked or broken colors, the printer or cartridges are not functioning properly. Note that HP cannot guarantee the quality of refilled or remanufactured cartridges. Follow the steps below to solve the problem:
  1. Remove and reseat the cartridges. Try printing again.
  2. Check ink levels, and if a cartridge is low on ink or out of ink, replace it and try printing again.
  3. Clean the cartridges. Depending on what printer you have, you can either print another clean test page or run a cleaning utility. Check your User's Guide for instructions. Try printing again.
  4. Clean the contacts, then try printing again. Click here to see how .
  5. Align or calibrate your cartridges (depending on what printer you have). Check your User's Guide for instructions.
  6. If none of the steps above have helped, clean the nozzle plate manually. Click here to see how .
  7. If the problem still has not been solved, replace the cartridges or service the printer. Click here to see how to decide which to do .

After installing re-filled ink cartridges, both color and back & white, the printer message that shows ink level still shows low level ink? How do we resolve?

Hello,

Try this procedure:
1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
