Intel 82801 pci bridge 2448 update

I need to update an Intel 82801 PCI Bridge 2448 with the newest version. Is there a free download for the updated version? I keep getting tricked into a free scan but $$ to download the update.

First go to the laptops website. DON'T USE THE FREE SCAN FOR JUST ANY WEBSITE, YOU COULD GET "SCAREWARE". THE UNSCRUPULOUS SITE WILL SCAN AND THE RESULTS WILL SAY YOUR MACHINE IS "DOOMED UNLESS YOU BUY THIS SOFTWARE, IT'S A SCAM. If you supply what you need,"I need to update an Intel 82801 PCI Bridge 2448 with the newest version" doesn't tell me what you specificly, your OS? your machine? Did you do a upgrade say from WIn 7 to WIN 8? try to be specific.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad x201 and a driver update indicated that I was using an old version (dated 6/21/2006) and that there was a newer version that should be used (dated 11/07/08). This information came from Advanced Driver Update. I was trying to see if I could get the updated version from the Intel website but could not locate it.

I would be extremely careful about installing a driver that software indicated, I) the software, Advanced Driver Update is trying to sell you there product, right? The best place to recieve driver updates is through your laptopa manufacturer website or windows updatesWhat lead you to want/need a driver for the Intel 82801 pci bridge 2448? Is there a problem? Please explain. If you download a driver that's incorrect you MAY open yourself to new problems. The driver update programs I have tried (Slim Drivers,FREE by the way) are hit and miss at best, sometimes the drivers are not compatible with my OS or will not load at all. I do Computer Maintenance, I am comfortable with "Crashing my Machine" I can repair it. Again, Please explain why you were search for a driver?
