My new Aculaser wont receive incoming faxes. I have it on Autoswitching, and its connected to my phone. My fax number is the same as my home number. WHen a fax comes through, the phone rings until the answering machine picks up, but then the Aculaser should recognise it as a fax but it doesn't. My old fax machine use to pick up the fax once you either picked up the phone or the answering machine pick up. Can someone help? Everything is connected correctly.
Change your incoming mode from "autoswitching" to "TAM" (TAM is short for telephone answering machine" Press the "Setup" button on the control panel Use down arrow twice to select "FAX SETTINGS" Press the right arrow once The FAX SETTINGS menu appears Press the down arrow twice to select RECEPTION SETTINGS Press the right arrow once Press the down arrow unit INCOMING MODE appears in display Press the right arrow once Press the down arrow until TAM appears in display Press the right arrow once. That should do it for you If I got lost somewhere, it is in your Operator's manual - look in the index for TAM Hope it helped Ed

my aculaser cx11nf used to work fine but now its on imac and the incoming fax doesnt work? i can send a fax but not recive. does anyone know the trick?
I also have a problem receiving faxes.
I have a Telstra fax duet separate fax number that worked fine with my previous Samsung MFP on DRPD mode.
Now I have tried it set on:
Auto switching
Fax
Phone
TAM
The problem with auto switching is that if the phone (non-fax) line rings, the fax will answer the call over the conversation.
TAM won't recognise the incoming fax call.
Please tell me I haven't wasted $1300
