Charged battery only lasts 30 minutes

I fully charge my battery for my Go video portable DVD player, however when I play it, the battery only lasts 30 minutes then it flashes low battey, so I have to plug it back in to watch the rest of the movie. Is there something I could do to fix this?

Try fully draining the battery and recharging it fully. If that does not work chances are the battery is going bad. How old is the dvd player ? If its still under warranty you might be able to get a replacement.

Well again try fully draining the battery and then fully recharging. This can be done in similar cases with laptop and cordless phone batterys. Otherwise theres a defect in the battery and its going out on you.

My portable rca dvd player will only keep a charge when plugged in

-Battery is too old. All charge able battery last only 2-3 year or maybe even less than that depend on how you use.
-If just a little low and keep charging then it life is short.
-If let it fully empty (dead) before charge the it last longer.

Good luck

After charging my MP3 player it appears fully charged but it will only play for about an hour and the battery runs down. i have recharged it again, same thing. now what?

The very first time you charge your battery YOU MUST CHARGE IT FULLY!!! If you didn't, that is probably the problem.

Also, even if you charge the player for just a couple of minutes it will APPEAR to have a fully charged battery when it actually doesn't.

Most portable media devices require at least 20 minutes to an hour to fully charge whether the screen shows that it is fully charged or not.

Need help charging my mintek dvd player battery

The way the battery is usually charged is by plugging it into the player and plugging the player into the a/c outlet. Do not use the player, Just allow the player to charge the battery. The way you tell if the charging is working is the light on the front will usually be a red color and it will be steady color or blinking while charging. When the battery is fully charged, the light will turn green or turn off . This lets you know that the battery has fully charged. To test this try using the dvd player on the battery only. Play a dvd or cd and see if the battery is working properly. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Looking for a replacement battery for Durabrand PDB-702, does not hold charge

Good luck finding a direct replacement for this unit. A universal replacement can be found at many internet vendors for $30 to $50. RB-270 manufactured by INITIAL. 9.0V and 5400mA which is a great improvement over the OEM battery. Fully charged this battery should last 2 hours or more. NOTE: This is not a direct replacement and will not attach to your DVD player as the form factor is universal. It will reside next to the player during operation... a minor inconvenience. I think WALMART carries the same model.

Battery

The manual says it should last for 2.5 hrs after being charged 3-4 hrs. I charged my used one I just bought all night and can only get 20 min out of it. But when its plugged in, its fine.
