Ok I have a 24in. dishwasher, that is full of rinse angent and my top rack of dishes like glasses is not coming clean. It appears that whatever gets washed off the dishes just sprays and dries on the glasses. Like there is no water being sprayed on the top. Help please!!
Recently my dishwasher started leaving debris on dishes in the top rack of my dishwasher. It is usually on the exterior of the glasses, but sometimes on the interior also. Technician advised me to increase hot water temperature, change detergent, add more rinse agent. None of these things are working. He disassembled and inspected all the parts - pump, spray arms, etc. and didn't see anything. Any thoughts?Recently my dishwasher started leaving debris on dishes in the top rack of my dishwasher. Load the appliance with dirty dishes, placing soiled pots and pans on the lower rack where they will be subjected to the most vigorous cleaning. Glassware and dishwasher-safe plastics should go on the top rack. It is not necessary to rinse dishes before loading them in the Hotpoint appliance, unless the dishes have been sitting for awhile and the food particles have dried.
Fill the detergent compartment with your preferred brand of dishwashing detergent, and add glass rinse solution to the rinse reservoir on the inside of the door if your model is equipped with one, then close the door to lock in place.
Select the cycle you wish to use and press the button. For pots and pans, use the heavy-duty cycle. Normal wash is fine for dishes and utensils.
Save on your energy bill by running the dishwasher only when it is full and by allowing the dishes to air dry instead of using the heat dry function on the appliance.

Hi,
Check your heating element..
A bad heating element causes many problems in dishwashers…
In my experience, you probably have a clog in the spray arm/arms for the top rack. Take the arm(s) out and see if the holes in them are clogged. Rice, plastic wrappers, and glass from dishes that broke in there are the most common culprits I've seen.
cheap trick...take a glass and put it on the top rack...right side up run dishwasher for about 4 mins is the glass full with water,no ok than check your drain hose the water is sphion out during wash,,lift it the height of unit..keep me posted
First check salt level is ok, the next thing may be it's having problems pumping out after the primary wash.
Try running a hot cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or 2 cups of washing soda, then pull out outlet hose and check it's clear.
Check all filters are clear and in good condition with no cracks.
I would suggest you buy some CLR and run it through a full heavy cycle with the washer empty. Be sure to put it in all dispenser areas and sprinkle about 1/4 cup into the washer before starting.
it may be hard water or some other minerals in your water. there is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system and it actually filters the water going into the dishwasher. i tried everything to get my dishes clean but nothing worked until i tried this system. my glasses all had a white, cloudy look to them and it was terrible. you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com. it is very affordable and works amazing. the filter fits right under the sink and solves the problem immediately. if you use the discount code DFMTEN you will get 10% off
brittgee, there has been a number of service flashes on this model. One that has to do with the upper spray arm assy. Complaint is poor washability; gritty glasses, food redeposited on glasses, especially in the corners. They redesigned the upper spray arm to improve water spray to all corners of the upper rack. The new part number is 8269022. They also redesigned the third level spinner for more consistant rotation and better washability. This was also under a service flash. Part number.8193768. Other reasons for poor wash would be; low water temperature, rinse aid disp. not working, loading etc. Catriver...post back.
