The dealer has tested HVT, Power supply, replaced toner completely and even replaced the drum. The shortcoming has not been removed completely. I used to get printouts on the backside as demanded by the various customers. I have noted that printout is not coming on the heated page. If I place the page in the side for a few minutes, then the printout will be alright! Strange

Have the service people set the machine to add toner(per pixelcount) and test run it for a day or two. If this works it means the sensor in the developer unit that tells the machine to add toner from the cartridge is bad. If that is the case replace the sensor. It sounds like the machine is not adding toner to itself. Have them also test the toner motor.

The most likely problem is not with the drum unit but rather with the developer unit and there is a leakage current within the unit causing the 'ghosting' on the printed images.
I would suggest that you replace the developer unit within the system. It is quite possible that the waste toner blade is contaminated with debris from using non-OEM toner within the unit. Therefore leaving residual toner particles on the surface of the drum.
Try this solution and see if that corrects your problem. This solution can be applied to virtually any laser printer, copier or MFP device in the industry. The problem is nearly 99% of the time related to CHEAP toner cartridges that are refilled or refurbished and the company doing the work does NOT replace the cleaning blades within the units, and they use a generic polyester-resin toner that does not conform to manufacturer standards.
I worked as a Design Engineer for Kyocera-Mita America for nearly 6 years and have seen this problem many times in the industry. The price you save on using recycled cartridges ends up costing you more when you have to replace a developer or drum unit.

Hi, You can try: 1. go to Start, Printer and Faxes, right click on your 3745, click on Properties, Printing Preference; 2. Check to see if you have any Advanced tab or button; 3. Check if you can set the printer to text only; 4. Check if you can set the printer to use black ink only. 5. In MS Word, verify through the use of Print Preview that your document is as you would want to be printed; 6. In some instances you may have to set manually text color in MS Word. While your document is open, click Ctrl + A to select all, then choose font color to "Black". Alternately, in your MS Word, you can click on "Format", "Font", "Font Color" set to "Black" rather than "Automatic" and set this as the "Default" setting. Hope this be of some help/idea. Hi! Have you somehow solved this problem? I have the exact problem with my Canon IR 2420L. Have replaced and checked whatever you've tried. As David Spicer suggested, I wanna try with the sensor in the Developer Unit, but I couldn't find the sensor in Service Manual or on any other sources. Please share what you've got to fix this. Thanking.
