Make sure you're tv is set on S-VIDEO, not AV1 or AV2 or VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2, etc... there's most likely a setting on your tv to select your input to S-VIDEO.
this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me. I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.
Problem is with the DVDE side. It is like the gears are out of sync.
