Quick wash showing 38mins, all other 3 settings showing 99mins (not normal). Problem is that when we do a wash the dishes have a **** left on them, or not washed properly. Program's seem to have got mixed up and stopping mid cycle although timer says '0'.

If you are using hot water connection then check the temperature of incoming water is hot enough. If cold water inlet only is used then most likely the heater element or thermostat in the dishwasher is faulty and the water is not heating enough.

SOURCE: HOTPOINT DISHWASHER FDW60

Hi,

I have just had my dishwasher fixed by Hotpoint, as the heater was working and the dishwasher only stopped with the fast and delicate lights just before the drying process he replaced the main control board. This has solved the problem, I suspected the fault to be the thermistor as the heater seemed to be getting to hot but I had no idea where it was.

It turns out the thermistor is attached to the main control board and hangs down behind the front door that gives just a rough temperature level for the main control board.

As it's soldered directly onto the control board I would suggest replacing the whole control pcb for anyone with this fault unless you can find any spec details for the thermistor.

SOURCE: When I switch on my dishwasher setting it at

you may want to check and clear the pump
you have something slowing your drain
but for giggles make sure your float valve is free to go up and down like it should
all dishwashers attempt to drain first
so you have a conflict between the float position and the pump sensor

Hi

White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle.
Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.

Fisher washer stays on clen for over 3 hours

"Fisher washer stays on clen for over 3 hours" ???
I think you mean the "Dishwasher stays in the clean cycle for over 3 hours", right? First question is "What cycle?" If it's the Pots and Pans cycle, or "Pro-wash cycle" , or "Normal cycle with extra wash heat or sani-rinse options selected, then yes, this is normal! A Normal cycle (without added heat) will take about 2 hours. And a short or quick or 1-hour cycle will take less.

Electrolux ESI 6180

I was shown how to clear your dishwasher and keep it running much longer. however, be careful when doing this. start with an empty dishwasher. pour 12 cups of cold water to the bottom area of tub and wearing latex, or rubber gloves, measre and por in exackly 2 cups of ammonia. let that solution sit there either all day, or overnight, at least a few hours, then run it through your machine, do not add anything else. do not do this with small children around. if you prefer buy the largest jug od vinegar (white) and pour it full strength into tub of your macine. let stand sevral hours, then put through a light or regulsr cycle. if you encountet that same problem empty, press drain cycle. retry usingrinse cycle instead. let me know if his resolnves your problem.

Got a used kenmore elite and I am looking for an instruction manual. I need more info on the washing cycles. Does it normally take 1 1/2 hrs to wash on the quick cycle mode? Model # 665.17483300 Type...

Here's a link to your model, showing exploded diagrams and parts lists, for future reference.

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-66517483300/0582/0130000?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=66517483300

And your manual.

http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/10240/KENMORE-Dishwasher-L0308215?brand_name_search=665.17483300

I found similar Kenmore dishwashers on Consumer Reports with around 135 to 145 minutes for a normal wash cycle and around 5 to 6 gallons per wash. A quick wash would take somewhat less, depending on the model. But not much less. I think you are OK. Because dishwashers are using less water these days, they count on longer wash times to produce the same effect.

Only can use the heavy wash cycle

HELLO THERE
The cycle doesn't advance or you are unable to use one of the cycles such as light or the normal wash cycle, your problem normally is caused by a bad timer It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance.and if you set it to the normal cycle or light cycle and nothing happens Then you need to replace the timer. ok? hope this is veery helpful for you
Best regards Michael

Maytag neptune tl makes grinding sound and stops at 33 minutes in normal mode and at 24 minutes in quick wash mode

Hello djlampl,

With the lowest spin cycle setting I enter spin cycle in Quick Wash around the 21 minute mark. But first question is do you hear the grinding noise with the tumblers rotating during the wash/agitate cycle?

If you start a spin only cycle do you hear the grinding noise?

Does the washer error code out with an error code to the display? Codes such as dC, uC, Lr?, I assume the machine type is a FAV6800AW is that correct?

Any additional info will help in troubleshooting…..Rich

Assuming the machine type is a FAV6800A/FAV9800A here are some handy links;

The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.
