Cannot hear incoming calls

When making a call can no longer hear the phone ring or anyone on the other end. Works when you use the speaker phone. All alerts, ring tones, everything else works fine. Just can use it for calls!!!

same issue - restarting doesn't always work either. the only way to hear the other end is to turn on the speakerphone.

one think that seems to be a pattern for this issue across the threads and forums - Windows Mobile 6.1... i never had the issue on 6.0, then i upgraded to 6.1...

I have the same problem. They can hear me but I can't hear my incoming calls. I've been using my bluetooth to communicate with my callers.....what a hassle. I didn't think to use the speakerphone utility, but I'll start using it until someone offers a solution.

Bold 9000 only rings through the ear piece when it is connect. Does ring when disconnected to ear piece. When ear piece is not in my ear, I can not hear the phone ring.

Hi, what makes it when disconnected to ear piece. When ear piece is not in my ear, you can not hear the phone ring is because the ringer of the phone that makes you know when there is an incoming call on your cell phone or a message alert tone on your cell phone is damaged and does not work and makes sound to notify you .

The ringer is a tiny speaker inside the cell phone that allows you to hear incoming call from your cell phone You will need to replace the ringer inside the cell phone ....

When you replace with another ringer (speaker inside the cell phone),phone will be Ok again.

Would advice that you contact an expert in phone repairs for asistance,that will do you good to prevent more damaged on the phone...

My samsung SGH-U900, sound no longer works, ie it doesnt ring, or let me know if a message has come through, and also i cannot hear anyone if they have called me (vibrate works) though they can hear me....

No voice received on incoming calls

try useing it on speaker phone..if it works there then the problem is in the speaker..it is eeasaly replaced also you can try and do a software upgrade..
