The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

SOURCE: Keeps saying boot failure along with Ethernet controller v1.06 and media failure, check cable

What you are describing is a hard drive issue, remove hardware and reseat it back in place sometimes this will restart the hard drive. If this fails have it tested.

Probably the hard drive is dead, you can replace it yourself if your good with computer hardware. If you never did something like this i suggest to take to a computer repair shop.

Error message says PXE-E61:media test failure check cable. PXE-M0F:exiting broad com PXErom. Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key.

PXE errors occur when the system attempts to boot to the network adapter and it fails to find a bootable network connection. In most systems, this is due to the hard drive not being detected in the system. So, reseat the HDD and ensure it is seen in the BIOS. If it is not seen in the bios then it has most likely failed and needs replacement.
