Check your rubber seal around the freezer door...has the door become easier to open?....is the seal in good condition all the way around, meaning that you are getting a good seal all the way around the door? If not, you will need to replace it.

SOURCE: Freezing water in bottom of Whirlpool Gold

remove back panel inside freezer. you will see a tray at the bottom with a drain hole in the middle and this is blocked with ice. melt ice off with a hairdryer and follow up with hot water till water flows away freely

SOURCE: defroster leaks

you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over

Look for obstruction at the drain tray for the freezer. Common to have plastic wrap sucked into that area.Or gunk in the drain line. Blow through line to insure the gunk is not an issue.

SOURCE: Water line in freezer for ice maker keeps freezing

I have had this happen to me before. What happens is the water fill valve
does not completely close and the tube will freeze shut as a small ammount of water will continuosly dribble into the tube when the valve shuts off causing the tube to freeze solid. I tried to clean the valve but that did not work so I replaced it and that ended the problem. A new valve is not expensive.

My fridge is leaking, water drips out once day from the left side where freezer side is.

Not sure what model you have or the age, but it could be the door gasket. It could also be the door closure at the bottom of the hinge side being worn down and not closing the door all the way. These normally last about 15 years.

My bottom drawer freezer is accumulating a sheet of ice

Your defrost drain line is clogged or frozen so the defrosted water is leaking into the freezer compartment and freezing into a ice layer in the next cooling cycle. Get your defrost drain line unclogged.

Ice forming on bottom of freezer with water leaking out from under

I'm guessing the drain from the freezer defrost pan (below the freezer coil) is clogged and overflowing into the bottom of the box. You'll have to turn off an defrost the freezer, then remove the sheet metal on the back to expose the coil. Try pouring some water into the drain pan and if it backs up, use a fine wire like a sewer snake to clean it out.

My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.
I hope this helps.

I have a maytag bottom freezer refrigerator model#mbf1956keq

apparently its the way the maytag defrosts. I have had this issue since I bought it. FIrst of all, you dont have to go through the whole defrosting process with water on the floor and removing your freezer contents. Simply take a butter knife and from the front corner, slide it under the edge of the ice and the whole sheet can be slid out intact right under the freezer door. I think it had alot to dowith having the humidity switch on, because when it isn't like in the summer when the AC is running, the amount of ice is not that bad.

Water collecting and freezing in bottom of freezer

Hi, Remove the rear inside panel of the freezer and locate the drain hole under the evaporator coil. Remove the ice and flush the drain hole with hot water to make sure it is free. You can try running a soft wire through the drain also.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Water build up back of freezer inside drips to bottom and leaks from under door.Looks like their is some sort of tray with hole in back then it overflows drips to bottom of freezer some of water freezes...

Our GE Profile leaked from the freezer door and this is what I was told by a service man to try before he came and it worked. There should be a "well" on the bottom of your freezer floor where the water runs when it defrosts. Yours is probably now covered with a sheet of ice. You can melt the ice with a hairdryer using dry towels to soak up the water as you work or really hot wet rags and ring them out in the sink. After all the ice is removed pour a small amount of warm water into the "well" and stick your finger in there and "plunge" it - like you would a clogged toilet - with your finger. This will purge the ice that blocked the drain. Check on this every couple of months to make sure you don't end up with the same problem in a year or so.

Kenmore, bottom freezer, ice bldup in frzr til leaks on floor

The freezer will defrost itself periodically depending on the run times of the compressor. This is determined by the defrost timer and will shut the unit off and turn on a heater to thaw the frost buildup. The resulting water is then channeled to the defrost pan which rests on top of the condensor coil under the freezer section or on top of the compressor, (depending on manufacturer design). The tubing to the defrost pan could be plugged or kinked off. You may also need a modification kit installed to keep the defrost drain trough from freezing over. I would suggest you consult a local technician for advice in this area. Also, make sure all doors are sealing properly as an air leak will cause excessive frost build up and will have a tendency to freeze before it can all drain out, then any successive defrost cycles will overflow the trough and run out the front.

Water tube extension

it sounds like the water inlet valve is bad. if it slowly leaks it will cause the water to freeze inside the inlet tube extension blocking water from entering the icemaker and it could leak around the extension tube. after freezing solid the tube may have a crack in it as well. so replace the water valve and take out the inlet tube and extension tube and inspect it for cracks and make sure they mate properly (you can glue them if you want but it might make it harder to clean out if you have the same problem again). a clamp or tie strap may help.
