How to Change the Time on an Equity Insta Set Clock eHow

press alarm button a number of times until it just shows one bell and the time. then press + button on back until all bells disappear.

Hold the Alarm 2 button down to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Instructions

1. • 1 Press and hold the "Alarm Set" button for five to seven seconds if you have an Insta-Set 40001, 44100 or 44200 model; the year will begin to blink when the clock is ready for adjustment. If you have an Insta-Set 40009 or 40018, hold the "DST" button for five to seven seconds (until the hour begins to blink).
     
   • 2 Set the year by pressing the right-arrow, "Up" or "+" button, depending on your model of clock.
     
   • 3 Set the month, day, hour and minute. Press the "Alarm Set" or "DST" button to cycle through each field, and use the "Up," "+" or right-arrow button to adjust the values within each field.
     
   • 4 Press the "Alarm Set" or "DST" button after setting the date and time to store the information into your clock's memory.

All Equity Insta-Set clocks automatically set the correct time and date when you turn on the power. Occasionally, the automatic time-setting feature malfunctions and you must reset the time yourself. Manually changing the time to the correct time on an Equity Insta-Set clock requires the push of only a few buttons to get the clock back on track:

1. Press and hold the "Alarm Set" button for five to seven seconds, the year will begin to blink when the clock is ready for adjustment.

Hold the Alarm Set button down for about 5-7 seconds. The year will flash. Skip the year and date by pressing Alarm Set a couple times until the time is displayed. Use the Up and Down to change, then press Alarm Set one more time to save it. This clock is ****, by the way. I run into them in hotels and it makes me nuts as well. Very non-intuitive.

On the time lost issue...there is a button battery (CR2032) in a compartment underneath. That battery keeps the internal time so when the clock is plugged in, it "instantly" sets the time. Problem is, if the internal time is set wrong, then it instantly sets the wrong display time when it it plugged in. See procedure above to correct that.
