Playing game When I want to play my game it says play DVD not play game. The message says insert into a 360 concel. Da, that's where it is. It happened when I had two controllers on at once. Any help? Redfrog

This sounds like your lenses is getting dusty. Try buying a lenses cleaning disk and see if that helps. They are usually at local stores for only $10-$15. Here's a few examples.

If it stops working all together, and the lenses cleaning disk doesn't help, then you either have to send it to Microsoft to get it repaired, or get the lenses itself replaced by doing it yourself or a third part company.

The problem you are facing is of a copied Xbox 360 game you are probably trying to play on a Genuine Xbox 360, these discs are read as a movie disk and it shows as "Play DVD".

When you try to play such discs, it would give you dvd media control bar on the bottom and the message in chinese letters is actually a message asking you to insert this disc in a Xbox 360, which is actually a Modded Xbox 360 that is required

Are you using copied CD's of Xbox games, Original Xbox 360 would read such copied game discs as normal DVD's and would show a message as "Play DVD"

To play such games it requires the Xbox 360 DVD drive to be flashed, which is called as a Softmod, if you do so you would be banned for playing on Xbox Live and such act is prohibited since it accounts to game piracy

Insert the DVD into the Xbox DVD tray then close the tray.

There's really nothing special you need to do.

It could be that the drive chip that controls the dvd drive lost its programing and need to be reflashed. I dont know how to do that but maybe google will help with that.

I have had a similar problem. I insert a game and it sais to insert it into a xbox 360 console.

This usually happens after I have been playing a dvd in the console.

Restarting console with game in it has been fixing issue.
