SOURCE: Admiral Washing Machine (Model LNC6760B71)- clothes remain damp

Sir,

The motor on this washer turn one way to wash and the other way to spin and drain.

So if the washer is spinning and not draining you have a pump problem.Take the front panel off and watch to see what is happening.

You will have to check for power to the motor in spin. Either the motor is bad or the timer or both. Refer to the schematic for this.

Thanks
Good luck

Hello again Chris,

Thank you for replying with the model number. It sounds like the pump may have become clogged in the washer pump filter.

I would first suggest you have a look at the pump yourself unless you don`t feel comfortable doing so, then calling a service tech might be the best avenue.

Here`s how to inspect it...yours may differ slightly, but if it is indeed a bosch clasixx6 1200...these instructions will apply.

1) **Turn off the power or unplug the cord from the dryer or wall...whichever applies to your set-up...safety first**

2) Water removal...remove toe panel. There you will find a small hose with a plug in the end for draining the pump.

3) Now bleed pump drain...A shallow pan is handy for this step.

3) remove pump filter, but be careful if you don't have a shop-vac or a shallow pan and towels you may get wet...

*Once you`ve reached this point you may have trouble removing the filter if it is really plugged up with debris. You might have to wiggle it back and forth as you twist and pull.

4) When you get the filter out, visually inspect inside the pump thoroughly with a flashlight and clean it out really well. It won`t take much to prevent these from draining. i.e. a penny, hair pin, buttons etc.

Let me know if you found anything in the pump and how you make out after that.

If you removed any obstruction, simply reassemble the unit making sure the filter is screwed in tight, unplug the unit for approx. 20 mins (you may have accomplished this in the time allowed to clean the pump so it may sound redundant, omit if so) run a quick rinse cycle to test for leaks before putting the toe panel back on and you should be good to go...save for any leaks.

There are other possible factors like a pump motor, that can prevent the unit from draining or spinning out items properly, but we`ll cross that bridge when and if we get there.

Thank you for choosing FixYa, keep me posted on your situation.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Machine will not spin

If the machine washes but won't go into the high speed spin, then either the speed control board is bad or the door switch is bad. Look in the machine there is a tech document to help you with this problem.

Samsungj1045 washes but won't spin out past 7

Try this, unload the washer and put it into spin manually. If it spins for the whole cycle then it is your motor over heating, with the load.
