Thanks, I found it. all you need is a old  ballpen  steel refill.
    like this.
    http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=gx2...
you need to press the date button to change the date.
and day button to change the day.
I marked the date button in the below picture.
I did it while the crown was down the watch was running, not when the wacth is
    turned off withthe crown lifted.

it didn't worked at 1st time. I think you need to shake the watch for few mins
to charge it up for the very 1st time other wise it won't move.
    hope it helps you all..

Paste this link into your browser, please, and verify that the model you have are different. What you'll see is Fossil Automatic Day Date, model ME1045. There are no pushbuttons on this model.

Check the caseback of your watch to find exact model that you have and upload those numbers here.

I bought my bf this watch for christmas... i set it before i gave it to him... it is the me1045
It took me forever to figure out how to set it, and even longer to actually set it.
The instructions fossil gives are useless, and the two side buttons do absolutely nothing.

So.. to set the day of the month, you have to spin the knob clockwise for 24 hrs for each day.
So, if it says 2nd, and the date is actually the 4th in the am, you have to spin it 4 times around the face, ie 48 hrs. If you go over, you're screwed and have to go all the way around again which, trust me, takes a really, really long time. Going counter-clockwise will not change the date, only the day.

The day of the week will change with the day of the month. Don't worry; they might not match up at the end. It may be the 4th and say it's monday. That's okay, because, unlike the day of the month, the week days can be turned backwards by turning the dial counter-clockwise.
Remember to take into account whether you are in the AM or PM. PM will require an extra turn beyond when it first switched to the date.

Goodluck; hope this helps.

Hi! I have the fossil es-2795 and I dont know how to change the date and day because it does not match with each other when i change the time?

Go to http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/customer_care/static/fossil-Instructions.html.

While Fossil do give a list of instructions, they are not given type numbers so you will have to sort through their list to find the instructions that are for your watch.

If you put the cursor over each of the descriptions in the list, the diagram changes to show a drawing of the watch that the instruction is for. This way you can quickly locate your watch on the list.

My me1020 came without instructions and i do not know how to set the date, min nor theday please help

Actually there is no instruction manual for ME1020 available on Fossil website except for how to replace the battery. When you try to match ME1020 model with the available diagrams, there is no match (4 eyes). To set the time, pull the crown out to the second position. Now set the min/hour hands. Date hand is linked to it so keep rotating the crown till the date is set is set correctly. Now remaining is the day setting. Notice that the day changes every 24 hour mark on the 24 Hour sub-dial, so cross this mark to change the day. Go reverse & again cross the 24 hour mark to get the next day. Repeat this till you get the correct day setting. Now your day is also set along with date & time!

Setting time & date on Philippe Starck Fossile watch ph1080

hold the left, bottom button (marked ....) for a few seconds....then press the top right button (marked with 1 dot) to change between the hour, minute, date etc. use the bottom right button to advance the flashing number, and when finished setting time and date, use the bottom left button to stop the numbers flashing and return the watch to normal. hope this helps, this is also how to change the date for the other question asker (works on 2 other starck/fossil watches i have and i assume the controls are the same).
