My Fridgidaire Professional Side-by-side fridge(FPUS2686LF) makes ice, but no water comes out from the water dispenser on the door. The ice maker and the ice dispenser on the door work. What can I do?

Freezer does not make ice

You need to check and see if ice maker has any water init. if not check the fill tube that goes thru the back wall for stoppage while you have it out rin the maker thru a harvest mode and listen for the sounds of the solonoid opening. If tube is full you'll need to replace the slow leaking valve a common problem. for parts call 704-819-6557

Freezer not making ice in Fridgidaire model PLH269ZDB2

There is a lever in the ice bin that detects when it is full. if that lever is locked in the"up" position, the maker stops making ice. Many times a previous owner or a shipper will turn off the icemaker this way. especially if the water to the home or freezer is turned off, so it won't keep trying to make ice.

It may be that the filter (if you have one) may be plugged up. Some have in-line filters that need replaced occasionally, especially if you have hard water. Trace the water line and look for something that looks like this:

There is a small connection on both ends.

Some fridges have a filter that is similiar to an oil filter and just twist in.

If the problem is not the filter, you need to check the connection that you line comes from to make sure you have water available at the source. The supply line itself may be plugged.

check the water valve on the back of the ref. it sends water to the ice maker and water in the door one can work and the other one not

I would be happy to help. When you say it stop dispensing, do you mean it didn't drop the ice into the bucket or it didn't dispense thru the door? Also, make sure the arm on the icemaker is completely down. Fridgidaire has had some problem with the arm not coming down all the way and leaving it in the off position. Let me know so I can help.

SOURCE: ice maker will not dispense the ice

The auger motor and coupling in the rear may be frozen and won't turn.
Remove the ice bin.
Place a screwdriver or similar device in the forks of the auger and twist counterclockwise till it moves. The replace the ice bin and try again.
It will be difficult to move.
If that does not work. Turn off the fridge and use a hair dryer to hrat the auger gear and motor till it frees up.

Make sure your manual doesn't say something about inline filters, or a float that might be sticking in off position. Depending on how ice is made sometimes they have a float to where water rises so hight then gets shut off to freeze and form the ice.
