You need a Motorola RIB and cable for this radio. Check out batlabs.com for schematics and other programming cables.

Hey all i found a Link to the RSS program necessary for re-programming.
http://rapidshare.com/files/119975228/GP328.rar.html
Follow this link download the software. how to program a motorola gp328 vhf 2 way radio? - icon_biggrin.gif

About the hardware necessary can be found at this site. The site contains lot of other
programming cables and a universal interface. The cable can be bought from any online shop also. I think some 45$ cost. If the cable is bought, then no need for making the interface.
And one more thing the interface for GP328 is MOT-4. All the details can be found here.

How do I change and select channels and frequencies w my motorola axv5100 two-way radio? Can it communicate with a motorola talk about?

Hello,
This radio comes with programmed channels and tone codes programmed into it. Should it still be stock the the diagram below is what you will use. The tones programed into are there to prevent someone on the same frequency from interfering with your conversation. It's a way of isolating the frequency. These are adjusted by the A,B,C,D You will know what frequency it is by the channel indicated. As for weather or not it will communicate with a Motorola talk about the answer is no. This radio is a VHF frequency and the talk about is MURS.
Regards, Tony

Channel - Pre-Loaded VHF Frequency (MHz) - Code (Hz)

I have a Motorola Axu4100 , I want to change the frequence that I currently have on this radio to a Motorola CP-200...just wondeing if these two radio can work together....

Hi
Motorola CP-200 have frequency range
VHF: 136–162, 146–174MHz;
UHF: 403–440, 438–470, 465–495MHz depending on the model
Motorola AXU4100 have frequency range 435 - 480 Mhz
The first model has a wider frequency range so it is best to include transmitter Motorola Axu4100 to transfer and try to receive signal to Motorola CP-200

I have a GP328 4channel hand held can it be reconfigured to be used as an ordinary uhf two way

It should be capable of being programmed to a "simplex" frequency where you can use the radio simply radio-to-radio. This is a dealer programmable style radio. You would need to visit your local Motorola dealer to have it programmed. As for whether it will do "ordinary UHF", the radio would have to be UHF. This style radio was produced in both VHF and UHF. Your dealer would be able to advise you on which one you have.

Best regards.

No user manual for the RDV2080d

Here is a link to the programming software http://www.radioserviceincorporated.com/files/1935423/uploaded/RDX_Series_CPS_R01-00.zip

And here is a link to the user guide http://www.astracomm.com/media/pdf/RDX_Display.pdf

The RDV2080 VHF with display would be compatible with the XTN series radios which have a model name starting with XV, as in VHF. Typically the RDV2080 ships on the default frequencies found in the XV2600. So if you have not changed your XTN frequencies/PL code they may match out of the box.

On a sidenote: The Motorola CP110 VHF is also compatible. It is an industrial version of the RDX radio. It has a few more channel capability and a replaceable antenna. It looks just like the RDX models, and it is the replacement radio for the CP100 and/or XTN.

All of the above mentioned models are repairable.

Can nice motorola GP340 talk to an FRS/GMRS w/ interference code?

If your GP340 is a UHF model, YES, you can have it programmed to match your TalkAbout radios. And yes, the GP340 has programmable privacy code capability.

If you do not know if your GP340 is VHF or UHF, you can tell by looking the model number, it will contain the following pattern: __H25RCC4AN3__. UHF models will have the letter R after the "25". VHF models will have the letter K.

When you have your GP340 programmed, the power setting will need to be turned down to the appropriate level to match the TalkAbout radios. Both for legal reasons, and also to protect your TalkAbout radios. You will not want the powerful GP340 to overpower the PA (power amp) in your TalkAbout radios.

Hello Guys..how to channelize my 2way Radio Motorola Radius Model

The GM300 is dealer programmable using Motorola proprietary software, a programming cable and radio interface box (rib). (Or on some models a ribless cable). I will continue to look for a user guide pdf. If I locate one I will post it.

More channles

You would need to have the radio reprogrammed using Motorola proprietary software, which is available to authorized Motorola dealers. The cost of reprogramming is typically between $25 and $40 in US dollars. GP328 radios can be programmed to have between 1 and 16 channels.

What's the channel frequencies for a common 22 channel motorola 2 way vhf radio?

Not sure what you want.....VHF band ius approximatly 130mhz to 175 mhz..... in that VHF band there is a commercial VHF band aprox. 155 mhz to 175...... the amateur radio vhf band is aprox. 135 to 150mhz.

With amateur radio, any freq in that range can be used...... with commercial radio the FCC cangive a company any freq. in that range also.

If you are looking for FRS/GMRS frequencies they are UHF freqs not VHF.

So I'm not sure exactly what you want......sounds like you might want to program in FRS freqs into an Icom amateur radio. If thats  the case you will need an Icom that will do UHF freqs.
