Bosch exxcel maxx freedom washer dryer filter will not open

Problem code F04 appears and water will not drain in drying cycle. I understand filter needs to be cleaned but it only opens half way and I can't open it properly. Do you know why that is? Can you suggest how I get the filter open? Thanks

    I got it open eventually using pliers. Problem now is the FO4 error message comes up again when I tried to wash clothes - but the filter was clean? any further advice?

    Try putting a wet-dry vac on the end of the drain hose and **** any debris out. You may have a blockage in there as well.

SOURCE: Have a Bosch Exxcel - error code F04 comes up half

washing machin pipes were frozen in garage, defrosted now. done one wash half way through, error f04 came up. water still in machine and it makes a noise when trying to spin. The fillter knob has broken and i can't undo it to clean it out.

Can't open filter on Bosch exxcel washer dryer
i reckon you probly had some stuff in yer pockets so don't blame the kids, anyway the filter door is probly jammed up over time with lint and stuff (should be cleaned regularly) so git a screwdriver and prise the door open and clean out all the stuff in there..All good to go again.

My little boy put my bosch exxcel washer/dryer on to dry for 2hours and then switched it to drain and then turned it off, now its stuck halfway through drain and the door wont open.
i have never worked on this type of washer dryer combo, but just from experience if a washer will not unlock and it keeps trying to drain it is either there is enough water in the unit to trip the pressure switch and the pump keeps trying to drain, means there is a blockage normally in the pump, blocking the pump, or blocking the pressure switch tube. clean these out and unit should work fine. if you arnt tech savvy , call a professional and be prepared to pay.

Bosch exxcel 1200 express fault code f04 what is it
i had this problem,no drain or spin,opened the flap at bottom right hand corner and pulled out small hose to drain machine opened circular filter cover (some water may come out) and found a 5p and 1p blocking filter after removing ,machine worked fine.
