SOURCE: Hotpoint RVM 225 BL 002 power reset. Internal breaker?

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

I would suspect the fuse or magnetron thermostat.

SOURCE: HOTPOINT COUNTERSAVER PLUS RVM 1435 DISPLAY READS F3

"F3" on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On RVM1435-series microwaves, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.
You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (RVM1435XX###) from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

We have a Hotpoint RVM1435WJ01 above the range microwave. We lost our electricity one day due to an outside electric wire splitting - when the electric company fixed the wire, the power came back to...

A mains surge may have taken out the fuse. To find the fuse, remove it from the mains, remove the outer cover and follow where the power cable enters the case. There will be a PCBoard with a fuse on it.
Always replace the fuse with one of exactly the same type and value!

How do I remove my Hotpoint microwave RVM 44004? Two bolts visible from the cabinet down into the microwave. Removed them with zero result. No other fasteners visible in top or side cabinets.

It is much easier for two people to remove the microhood. If attempting alone, please move the range out so you can get under the micro to support the weight. If the range stays in place, protect the top from damage.
1. make a landing site to the side to protect the floor when putting the micro down after removal.
2. Disconnect the power cord in the cabinet above.
3. loosen the two screws in the bottom front corners of the cabinet above. When removed the front of the micro will drop, be ready for the weight. Busy times, tools in hands microwave coming down in front.
4. tilt the front down. pull the cord out of the upper cabinet.
5. with micro still tilted down in front, lift the back of the unit upward to free it from the wall plate.
6. remove the fasteners in the wall plate and remove.
Congrats, begin celebration.

WE have a Hotpoint Microwave mounted over the stove and it is not vented to the ouside! It's model #RVM 1435! Can it be vented outside?

yes,
you will need to tzke the unit down
look on the back upper middle
you will see your vent fan
open the cover
pull the fan up
and rotate it 90 degrees, but you will need to install a vent for it
you can also turn it 180 degrees if you on an outside wall and the ven is directly behind the machine

Won't heat. Everything else works.

Magnatron is suspect. Need to put a voltmeter on it and see if the input (primary) side to the high-voltage transformer (big heavy iron thing in there) is getting 120Vac. Don't touch the other (high voltage) side of this transformer. If the power is there, you are looking at replacing the magnatron. Its affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"
