KP-57WS500 8 blinks will not power on

CAN YOU HELP ME

my sony tv will not power on all i get is the power light and then 8 blinks

no pic no sound.......it does sound like its turjing on via a typical click sound when hitting power button but thats it...you can hear it click off after 5 seconds with 8 blinking red

8 blink error code is usually indicating that the HV transformer ( Flyback) is faulty on the D board. You can get a replacement flyback at the following link with free tech support to explain how to replace it. Heres a link to the correct Flyback for the KP51-65WS500 model sonys.

Check fuses on power/delection board. Besides normal looking fuses there are micro fuses that are small and are yellow or blue in colour

Sony KP-46WT520 Standby Blinks 10 Times

High voltage in TV got problem and thats why TV gives 10 time blink error code.
Qualified TV tech will fix it as its bit complicated fix.

Panasonic rear projection TV won't power up

There will be around 8 fuses . Four will be in and around and another four will be around main board . Did you count number of times the light blinks so that the problem can be easily diagnosed .

There would be bit long pause between blinks so count the blinks and let me know to help you.

KP46WT510 Shutdown 6 Blinks. 6 Blinks = Low B+ OCP/OVP
SOLUTION: Replaced Flyback transformer. It had no rings on the ringer test.

Comments: Any load on the B+ line can cause 6 Blinks.
Example: If the 200v line is loaded down will cause a drop in B+ due to bright picture current demand.

Six (6) blinks on the Timer/Standby led

6 blinks means lamp thermal fuse blowing, replace thermal fuse.
