I also can't access the media net feature, when i try to access this it gives me a message with a stop sign saying "packet data connection not available" then i get one saying "link not avalaible". is this something i did or is it some external source. I have had success sending/receiving messages for about a year now and this just occured in the past week. Multimedia messaging is included in my service.

Receiving multimedia messages

You may have multimedia messages turned off by your carrier, so they would block all in and put multimedia messages. You could try calling them and ask them to check your settings.

My unlocked for tmobile samsung flight ii will not send or recieve picture messages how do I fix this?

You need to configure internet and MMS settings on your phone to be able to send/receive multimedia messages.

Normally, the service provider sends these data as a SMS once you power on the device for the first time with the new sim card in it.

If you didn't received any, contact your service provider( in your case, it is T-Mobile ) and ask them to send the configuration settings or you may need to go to a T mobile service outlet.

2.Scroll to and select Applications.
3.Scroll to and select Sett. wizard to launch the Nokia settings wizard.
4.Scroll to and select Operator.
5.Select Start > Multimedia message and follow the wizard's on-screen steps to automatically configure the phone with the required operator service settings.
Configure MMS settings

To configure MMS settings, select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Multimedia message
Additional MMS settings include:
1.Image size - Define the size of the image in a multimedia message.
2.MMS creation mode - If you select Guided, the device notifies you when you try to send a message that may not be supported by the recipient device. If you select Restricted, the device prevents you from sending messages that may not be supported. To include content in your messages without notifications, select Free.
3.Access point in use - Select which access point is used as the preferred connection.

2.Select the image you want to send.
3.Select
4.Select Via message.
5.Add the recipient name or contact number.

Tips If you are unable to send and receive MMS, try these simple steps.
1.Check if the MMS settings (for example, MMS access point) are correct in your device. These settings are sent by the operator or service provider. See Operator or service provider settings.
2.Operators usually set a limit for the size of a picture message. If you need to send a picture that is large in size, you can resize it before it is sent. See Image size.
3.Contact your operator or service provider to confirm whether:
•Data plan is activated on your SIM card.
•Roaming is activated when you are not in your home network.

IF you want to see your MMS through go to your service provide site.and click the MMS and fill the username and password, and hit enter. you see your MMS in inbox double click to view the MMS.

I have a nokia rm 520, i want to know how to send and recieve multimedia messages. When i do send them a little message shows up saying "Message sending failed. Check details" when i click on...

hi there!

you have to call your network provider and ask for the mms settings first, once you saved it on your phone, you'll be able to send/receive mms. if you've already done this, go back to the mms you're sending and do check on its details, see if the file you attached is too large to be sent, also see if it requires you to have a "subject and a message" before sending it. it does vary on how the settings for you mms goes actually.

Unable to send or receive picture messages

Hi,

In order to send and receive picture messages you need to have MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) enabled on your cellphone by your service provider.

Please contact your service provider and have them send out the MMS settings to you.
They will send it to you in the form of a text message and you will need to open the same and save it.

Once done, you will be able to send and receive picture messages from your cellphone.

If you require any further assistance, please comment and let me know, and I will be happy to assist you to further resolve your issue.

I will appreciate your feedback and positive rating for this solution.
Thank you.

I cannot receive multimedia mail. How do I get it to work?

here is a general procedure to understand how MMS works. In this procedure, a photo is being sent to another compatible phone.
  • Step one: Take a photo from your built-in camera phone or download via the Internet.
  • Step two: Personalize the text, graphics, audio or video clips.
  • Step three: Add recipients' number and send.
The recipient on the other side will receive a message alert. Once he opens the message, a picture message will appear on the screen. If there is any text, it will appear below the image. In case, you send MMS to a non-compatible cell phone - the recipient will a SMS with a default line, "You have been sent a picture message!"
There are many challenges that exist with MMS:
  • Adaptation of multimedia content: There may be a difference in the compatibility of multimedia content for different brands of cell phones. If the network operator is supporting your content adaptation - you can enjoy compatibility with more networks and vice versa.
  • Cell phone configuration: Multimedia Messaging Service requires some parameters to be correctly placed in you handset. Sometimes, due to poor configuration, you may not receive messages.
  • Bulk messaging: Sometimes, if you send MMS to a large number of subscribers, there might be some difficulty in sending messages. Now transactional overloads are being optimized.
Moreover, there are several similar terms such as Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) - very similar to SMS (Short Messaging Service), allowing you to send or receive messages with some special text formatting options such as bold, color, sound effect, icons, etc.
