This Is VIA's download link you have VIA VT1612A chip with AC97 for sound. If you have Windows VIsta or earlier, ie; Win XP, this will work for you. If you have windows 7, it does not support your present system and, as suggeted by VIA, you have the optin to install a sound card that is Windows 7 compliant. I could not find your download at mercury's site eiher. You also don't have many USB ports but, if you do you may want to consider something like the Soundblaster Live 5.1.

The first thing I would try is go to the manufacturer's web site. They usually supply drivers for their products. If it is an integrated sound card, check on the motherboard manufacturers site.
If you go to the device manager, it should have the card listed as either unknown or maybe with the correct name but not functioning properly. In the details tab you can get the PCI vendor and device codes. When you get the code google PCI Vendor codes and the first couple sites that are listed have a code search feature. Place the code in the box and search. It will tell you the manufacturer and details, and if you look down the list of device ids there are sometimes links to drivers or product home pages.
You can also do a search in google for the sound card model. There are usually a couple places that have the drivers.
Finally there is the option of getting a driver from a card that uses the same chipset. It doesn't always work but it is worth a try.

You have to choose the your motherboard model and download the drivres and install.
