It's most likely your Laser diode (LD unit). You're going to require a tech...see the posts the following link for the same problem. It's for a Ricoh model, but your machine actually is a Ricoh Machine (Ricoh owns Lanier), and is virtually identical to this one -just a generation older.

Why you continue to ask the same things? Why do you continue to put new posts? If you answer when I suggested that perhaps you have your problem solved.

My Brother MFC8220 Keeps jamming the paper as it starts to enter the drum, is this a feed issue? or a Drum Issue? It appears to feed from the tray correctly, but then starts jamming as it enters the drum.

Using a cloth damp with water clean the feed roller. You will see it when you pull out the paper tray. If it starts feeding good it was a feeding prob.. If it keeps doing it look at the leading edge of the jammed paper for any signs of dings or bends. if you find any paper damage look in that area for what is causing the damage. Paper light keeps blinking, paper full, won't print

Paper light blinking could mean a few things on this machine.

There could be a paper jam in the machine. Open the front cover remove the drum and toner and look in the machine. You can also check in between the drum and toner by removing the toner from the drum. Open the back cover and look for a Jam as well.

Try putting a piece of paper in the manual feed tray which is right above the paper tray, sometimes on certain documents the margins are too big and asks to go into the manual feed slot.

Lanier 6725 copier: Paper is always jamming and

I have worked for Lanier for 20 years, the 6725 was a great machine, but getting parts, spending $$$ and still having an old copier. Lanier is owned by Ricoh and all machines are Ricoh with a Lanier sticker on it. Its time.

MFC-7420 "Change Drum Soon" I have had this message for a while. I purchased a new drum. In the meantime the printer continues to print fine, except we have paper feed problems. Is the drum related to...

the only time i've seen the drum affect paper feeding is if paper jams in the drum unit. i would use your current drum until print quality decreases to an unacceptable level. it will not shut down, and you will not see a "change drum message." if your paper feed problem is centered around the cassette/paper pickup area, you can try cleaning your rollers with water and a soft rag, and also make sure your rear paper stopper in cassette isn't pressing too tightly against the rear of paper stack. best to leave 1/8" gap, otherwise paper will not lift properly to the rollers.

Misfeed on lanier 7320

I like your pictures.... Have you tried to clean the feed roller with a slittly damp rag with Simple Green or WD-40? You can try that and wipe the extra off. They both clean the rubber roller's. If that works good, that means the feed rollers are worn and need replacing. But you may also need the paper pick-up feed clutch. You said you can still run paper throw the by-pass. Good Luck

Paper jam problem on KXP7100

Typically, most of the time paper jams are caused by a defective photostatic print drum. When the drum goes bad and can no longer hold a charge, the paper sticks to the drum because the paper has a charge on it that attracts the two. There would be where I would look first. Now, if thats not it, the feed rollers could be getting worn. For a quick fix, take some fine sandpaper, and scuff up the rollers a little. This will create enough friction to allow the paper to feed through the printer smoothly. Keep in mind that using th sandpaper is only a stop gap measure. If the rollers are worn, they will need to be replaced soon. Hope this helps. Good luck.
