47" philips lcd tv model 47PFL3603D/F7
Comcast DVR (HD) remote control
I can't find the code to put in for my new TV. I'm getting the run around from cable, who wants me to pay for a service call and have someone come out, and Philips tells me to go to the urc.phillips.com site and ''play around' and I ''might'' find it there!
HI,
Could you kindly give the exact model of the comcast remote that you are using.
Thanks
Proton
You can try the following codes
Philips 0035, 0081, 0618
BUT, according to me this remote is not compatible with the philips TV.
Thanks

Hi,
As i wrote before ,my friend , if you could give me the model number of the remote that you have i may try to find a solution. Cause everything on the philips says the remote is not compatible with the TV you are using . So its better to change the cable provider.
Thanks
Proton
Try adding 1 to the front of the code. "10054"'. Hope this helps
This code solved problems for a lot of people using the comast remote.
Thanks

Hi nancekelly ,
here are the codes
006,007,010,011
,013,016,033,035
check this pdf guide there is full info about programing codes http://www.comcast.com/MediaLibrary/1/2/...

and check here http://www.comcast.com/remotes/universal...
If your home entertainment device does not respond to the remote control after trying all of the codes listed for your brand, or if your brand is not listed at all, try searching for your code.Example: You've tried all the codes for your TV, but you still cannot get the remote control to operate your TV.
Note: Use the AUX key to program the remote for an audio receiver or DVD player.Turn on your TV.
On the remote control, press TV once.
Then press and hold SETUP until the TV key blinks twice, then release the SETUP key.
Using the number pad, enter 9-9-1. The TV key will blink twice.
Aim the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate between pressing Power and TV. Stop when the TV turns off after pressing the POWER key. This means that a working code has been found.
Press the SETUP key once to lock in the code. The TV key will blink twice.
Checking the CodesIf you have set up the remote control using the Searching For Your Code procedure, you may need to find out which four-digit code is operating your equipment. For example, to find out which code is operating your TV:
Note: If a code digit is "0", the selected mode key will not blink.Turn on your TV.
On the remote control, press TV once. Then press and hold Setup until the TV key blinks twice, then release Setup.
Enter 9- 9- 0. The TV key will blink twice.
To view the code for the first digit, press 1 once. Wait 3 seconds and count the number of times the TV key blinks (e.g., 3 blinks = 3) and write down the number in the left- most TV Code box (at end of this section).
Repeat step 4 three more times for the remaining digits. Use 2 for the second digit, 3 for the third digit, and 4 for the fourth digit. To check another device code, repeat steps 1 to 5, but substitute the AUX key for the auxiliary device you are checking.

Hi
heres the manual for the comcast DVR remote the codes are listed inside
http://www.comcast.com/MediaLibrary/1/2/CM/VanityURL/documents/comcast_dvr_remote_manual.pdf
If comcast doesn't have a working code for their own product then who will?
The remote most likely will not function with the set, have you tried code search?
I would suggest to get another remote
try one of the urc remotes

Usually answered in minutes!
That is NOT the solution - we (Comcast and I had already TRIED using the codes in that manual that was written in July 2007 if you look closely at it - it is virtually useless to anyone unless they are looking for a code for an older television.
I am not.
This is a brand new model - Comcast does not have the code for it.
Philips obviously does not either, or they would have given me a straight answer.
Please folks - let's not give BS responses as ''expert'' answers - I have tried all this - I've been on the phone for days doing this, I just need to know if anyone has THE NEW CODES FOR PHILIPS 47" LCD TVS - not ones that are a year and a half old.
that is NOT the solution either bluextec3221 - as that leads you to the exact July 2007 list that was provided earlier.
Does anyone here bother to look at the things that they send to people as solutions, or is it all a big race to see how many posts they can answer? I thought I was rather informative about the fact that manual was not of any help and that Comcast and I had already gone that route.
I do not wish to purchase another remote - that was one of the solutions that Philips offered me, and they provided me with that link also. I paid $1100 for this TV - I am not going to go out an purchase a new remote to go with it.
Comcast said they get their updated codes from the manufacturers, and the codes they gave me were the latest ones that Philips had given them.
Philips sent me to the exact page that you sent me to ........ supposedly to ''fiddle around'' a bit, and I could ''probably'' find the code that I was looking for. There were approximately 10 remote controls they offered the codes for - with hundreds of codes listed. I called Philips back, and they sent me back there to look at the Universal Remote Controls they offered for sale, and where to buy them. That is NOT the solution either.
There HAS to be a code in existance for this TV, and someone out there has to have it, but no one is willing to spend the time to find out what it is. Comcast is using the: Philips hasn't updated us yet answer, and Philips is using the: Buy one of our Universal Remotes, or search through our library yourself (which I tried, but there are just too many to even begin to try after you go down the lists for all the model numbers starting at the first - I got half way through before I decided to pay for the "Premium Answers" here at FixYa!
