Thread Cutter and needle problems

My machine is working just fine but when I stop sewing, my juki takes an additional 3 stitches before it stops. The 3 extra stitches are done in the slowest speed. I don't know how to make it stop when I stop. When I use my thread cutter, it speeds up the stitching but nothing is cut, it just goes up and down several times in the "normal" speed for cutting the thread. It wasn't always like this. The last time I took my Juki in it had got seized up on some fabric or thread, but when I got it back it started to do the two things above. I would love to be able to solve these problems on my own instead of taking it back in.

SOURCE: skip stitch

The three most obvious causes (other than that of the machine possibly being slightly out of time) are:

1) Too small of a needle size - increase the size.

2) A needle that has a flaw / defect - change the needle.

3) Needle not inserted correctly, either not pushed all the way up into the needle bar, or not installed facing the correct place. On this machine, the small "scarf" in the needle (an indent just above the eye) shouldface the right side of the machine.

HZL 210 Juki Excite How can I stop the automatic threader cutter from cutting my thread when I am straight stitching?

If your Juki HZL-210 Excite's automatic thread cutter is cutting your thread when you're trying to straight stitch, there are a few things you can check:
  1. Make sure you're using the correct presser foot: If the wrong presser foot is installed, it can activate the automatic thread cutter when you don't want it to. Ensure that you're using the appropriate presser foot for your straight stitch.
  2. Check your thread tension: An incorrect thread tension can also cause the automatic thread cutter to activate at the wrong time. Make sure your thread tension is properly set for the type of fabric you're using and the type of stitch you want to make.
  3. Clean the machine: Accumulated lint or debris can cause the automatic thread cutter to malfunction. Use a brush or compressed air to clean the machine, particularly around the thread cutter mechanism.
  4. Reset the machine: Turn off the machine and unplug it for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can sometimes reset the automatic thread cutter and resolve any issues.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to take your machine to a professional for servicing or repair.

Needle thread is wrapping around the bobbin case on my juki ddl 5550N industrial. I've set the timing and it looks perfect to me...stitch looks good. Except when I stop and pull the work away from the...

Not to familiar with the industrial machines. However, even with domestic models. the position of the 'needle' bar at the time you remove your fabric, does make a difference as to weather it pulls our smoothly or, you are going to get that "extra" loop. Needle should be half way up or all the way. maybe this might help

Your needle probably bent and got jammed. clip threads top and bottom of the fabric and remove... then get in the bobbin area and look for issues.

My Juki MO-655 serger will sew a few inches then the needle thread becomes disengaged in the stitch process. The machine will sew a few inches more then stops making stitches. I have cleaned the thre

Make sure you are threading the machine correctly. Make sure you are using serger thread that isn't old. Make sure you are undoing all the threads when it breaks and thread it from the beginning.

Make sure you have the right needles in their respective places. My Juki MO has two different size needles.

Having problem sewing on leather. I have a juki 555-5 and it is skipping 1 stitch every 3 inches . I bought a roller foot kit and it did not work. I am so frustrated. If any one could help it would be...

make sure to use a leather needle
needle must be inserted correctly,,the falt side of the needle must face the shaft
the groove in the needle faces away from the shaft

raise the needle bar to the highest point,,then loosen the clamp screw to remove the old needle
push the needle all the way up to the stop, or as far as it will go,then tighten the needle clamp screw

also make sure the needle & thread will work togeather
Cut 6-8 inch piece of thread of the spool you are going to use for your project
Take the needle you are going to use for the project
& insert the thread thru the eye of the needle
& lift one end of the thread to a 45 degree angle
& if the needle is the right size for the thread it will slide down the thread
But if the needle hangs on the thread you need one size larger needle for the thread

also clean under the needle plate where the feed dogs are
also bobbin area

How do i stop juki ddl from top skipping stitches?

Hi. Skipped stitches are usually caused by a mismatch in your thread and needle. Wrong thread type, wrong needle size, or even old thread can cause skipped stitches. If all else fails, change the needle. If that doesn't work, clean the machine. Sometimes just getting rid of all the lint and giving her a good oiling does a world of good.

Let me know if this works.
