You would have to buy a universal remote that is capable of controlling video input.

SOURCE: SWITCHING FROM TV MODE TO VIDEO MODE

Hi, If the AV button is not in your remote, then perhaps it is part of the Ch up/down buttons - meaning right after your last programmed Channel would be AV before the first program Channel. Although I have yet to come across such a case, I have worked on units/remotes that have this feature of the AV included in the channel memory. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: I cannot switch my TV mode to video mode

I have a broksonic and the remote is broken. I have it on Aux and need it on Video. I contacted the company and there is no way to do this without the remote. I had to buy a new remote from them. The cost was almost $25.00. They are sending it to me and I will have TV again. I did tell them that this is a problem that needs addressed to the company and they were not very receptive to that suggestion. The number to call is 1-800-333-9099. Make sure you have your model number. This is what they wrote in an e-mail when I request assistance: "Unfortunately, our models are not compatible with any other manufactures." I took this as to not try any other type remote.

How to program the TV remote to work with an APEX DVD player? I do not have the APEX DVD code.

As far as I can remember, the original JVC remote doesn't support a DVD player. It doesn't have the necessary buttons to control the player functions. You'll need to stick with the original Apex remote if you have it, or look for a universal remote that is compatible.

My tv won't play my DVD player. I don't have the original remote, but it is programed to a universal remote. Whenever I press the "TV/VCR" button all kinds of numbers pop up on the screen and the tv...

Your TV is responding as if the Game button was pressed on the original remote. The additional stuff on the screen is to let you set the best brightness and other settings for video gaming. These screens should disappear on their own in 10 seconds if no buttons are pressed on the remote. See the manual http://www.symphonic.us/support/manuals.aspx and fill in the model number. If the remote were still controlling the TV, the CH up and down buttons would let you choose the Picture settings to change and volume up and down buttons would change the setting.

The TV/VCR button on the universal remote may be swapping the remote to control the VCR only. (Thus losing the ability to control the TV.) (What does the manual say about the button for the universal remote?) You may want to consider a different universal remote - programmable or http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=ST419E&uuid=12844254442790 which has an exact substitute.

Check your cables for the sound issue (try new ones) and make sure that they are fully seated in the jacks.

I hope this helps.

Need remote code for symphonic tv. Have living solutions giant remote

Programming a Living Solutions Universal Remote
  1. Step 1 Turn on the component you wish to sync to your universal remote--your television, DVD player, VCR or stereo.
  2. Step 2 Point the remote at the device you are programming and press the corresponding device button on the remote. These buttons are labeled "TV," "VCR", "DVD," etc. Hold the device button for three to five seconds.
  3. Step 3 Push the power button on the remote. This should turn on the device that you are syncing.
  4. Step 4 Push the "Channel Up" or "Channel Down" button on your remote gradually until the device that you are programming shuts off.
  5. Step 5 Press "OK" or "Enter" on the remote once the synced device turns off.
  6. Step 6 Press the device button for the component you just programmed, and hit the power button while pointing the remote at the component. If programmed correctly, the device should turn on, and you should be able to control it with your Living Solutions Universal Remote.

Hey i can not get tv to swap over to vidio mode to watch dvd how do i do that

Just hit the button on the remote. It should be labeled "tv/video" or something close. There may be a button on the TV itself.

If its not working try getting a universal remote. You can program it for your tv and get it switching.

Try these and get back to me. If this does not work we will look at other things
