MS Works 2002 .msi file issue

Hello:
I tried opening my Word app (02 version) and the system does not open it, but indicates it is configuring, then asks for the CD to install. When I insert the Works CD, it tells me it cannot find the path, or that I have to find a .msi file and try to open from that. I have searched for this file and there is none to be found. Any ideas?

    The CD will not open at all. Search indicates there are no .msi files in the C drive, hidden or otherwise. For some reason, I can open Word by using the program file folder, but once it is open, I continue to get the same configuration errors and it asks for the CD. I am not wanting to uninstall the program if the CD is flawed. Any other suggestions?
    Maybe use system restore? I just downloaded SP3 earlier this week...restore to earlier time?

    Prblem resolved. Had to open CD with setup command. After that the broken text was repaired. Many thanks!

Hi there
The .MSI file is either on the install CD or hidden in the temp files folder, what you have to do is perform a search of hidden files and folders for the installer file, once you have found it direct the install path to where the .MSI file is and carry on your install

You won't find the download link as office 2003 is not supported anymore. (had same issue as I owned office 2003 had to go to office 365)
I am not sure if later versions of office would run with office xp ?
suggest trying open office

How to know if a document is in word 97 format? I have microsoft word 2002 in my pc. is it in word 97 format too?
MS Word files have .doc extension (Word 97-2003 Format). With Word 2002, you can open and edit Word 97 files as well. Since launch of MS Office 2007, the files have the extension .docx. These files can be opened with earlier versions of MS Word (97, 2002, 2003 etc) by installing the compatibility pack, which is available at Microsoft Official Site.

Please select your windows system.
And unzip the file before you can use it:

A 1-2-2-3 beep code pattern means that there has been a BIOS ROM checksum error. Literally, this would indicate an issue with the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Since replacing a BIOS chip is often not possible, this Phoenix BIOS issue is usually corrected by replacing the entire motherboard.

Unfortunately you need the office (the correct version) of the software.
The attached Microsoft link will indicate why you are having the issue.

Lost mother board CD sound drivers not installed
You can click on the MSI link below for your MS-6734 motherboard; (All drivers & more).

If your sound driver software will not install correctly there are other ways to install the driver.
First, your windows registry should be cleaned. (Windows registry contains old sound driver software & RegCure will remove none needed windows keys).
Download & run the free program RegCure.
Here is the link for RegCure;

Once RegCure has finished restart your system. Create a folder on your desktop & name it, Sound driver. Download the driver from MSI (See the first link above) File name, Realtek_AC97_MB.zip & save the file into your Sound Driver folder. The file named Realtek_AC97_MB.zip is compressed.
You will need to uncompress the file, you will need WinZip for this. You can download a free trial from the next link; (Winzip uncompress *.zip files).

Once Winzip has been installed restart your system.
Open the Sound Driver folder. Right click once on the file named, Realtek_AC97_MB.zip.
A pop-up window will open slide your mouse to the Winzip icon & right click on it once. In the next pop-up window slide to & left click, Extract to here. The file will uncompress.
Uncompress ion will create another folder named, AC97. All needed driver files will be stored in the AC97 folder.

Open windows device manager. Click the start button (In windows) & open control panel. Open the System icon. Click the hardware tab & than click the device manager button. Look at the icons.
If you see, unknown PCI device or a yellow pair shaped icon with an explanation point ( ! ). This will most likely be for the sound driver. In stall the driver software from here. (Follow the instructions below).
Right click once on the explanation point, a window will open & Left click once on “update driver”. Windows hardware wizard will open. Click No, not at this time. Than click the next button. Another window will open. Left click once in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Than click the next button. Again, another window will open. We want to remove the green check mark next to, Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...). Left click on the green check mark once & it will go away.
Click the browse button, click the + sign next to my computer. Find the “ Sound Driver ” folder on your desktop. Open it, high-light the AC97 folder by left clicking on it once. Windows will search within the folder & install the correct sound driver software. Restart your system.
Open windows control panel & open the Sound and Audio Devices icon. Check both the Audio tab & Voice tab. Both should show RealTek AC97. Test for audio.
There are two MSI MS-6734 motherboards.
One model number, MSI KM4M-L MS-6734 & MSI KM4AM-L MS-6734. See below;
