Bay Model # 526-012 Fans what size speed control

I installed 2 Hampton Bay Model # 526-012 ceiling fans on one switch. The speed control that comes with the fan is only good for one fan. Can you tell me the speed control I need to operate both of the fans. The one that comes with it is a 1.5 Amp speed control.

What is the part # to operate both fans?

Can I use a Leviton fan speed control rated at 5 Amps or does it need to be a Hampton Bay speed control?

I can't see any reason why a Leviton fan speed control couldn't be used on any ceiling fan, after all, I don't even think Leviton makes ceiling fans. Second, you may be able to try using the 1.5 amp fan speed control and see if you can get by. The worst that could happen is the speed control wouldn't work or would only work for a short time and be junk.

Hello Brother,
Installation:
Hang your ceiling fan on the Quick Connect fan bracket and wire the ceiling fan according to the manufacturer's instructions. The three wires coming from your ceiling should match the three wires coming from your ceiling fan: black (positive or hot), white (neutral or negative) and green (ground wire).

Use the high, medium and low keys on the remote to adjust the Hampton Bay fan speed, then use the light key to dim the light and the off key to turn off the fan.

For REMOTE CONTROL FANS you cannot use with any variable speed or slide wall switches. The remote control function must be used with on & off switch outlets only.

I just purchased and installed a Hampton Bay palm beach 48' ceiling fan (close to ceiling mount)Problem is when turned on I hear an annoying hummmmmmmmmmmm, more of a hum at high speed and it graduates...

You have a rotating dimmer switch on the wall to control speed right? If so, it is the wrong type switch. The missed matched switch will cause the humming. Use a regular on/off switch and control speed with the pull string

Need remotes

In theory, they should. Try Hampton Bay first, and if not, check for aftermarket replacements. Those remotes are simple enough that there is no reason that they can't.

Remote control replacement.
