Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times.

I have the 52" version of the Viera model. Mine went out last night and started blinking twice over and over again. I suspected overheating so i just went to bed and tried it in the morning with no luck. Then I unplugged it for more than ten minutes and plugged it back in and everything worked fine. I hope this helps.

seven blinks on this model is the SC board. it will need a new SC board and the software update for the new board. usually only authorized servicers have the software need to do the upgrade. but if you were to contact panasonic then they might be able to have it fixed for you for free since this was a defect in manufacturing. of course this depends on how long you have had the tv.

Hello,
Ur power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics’ and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your tv power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Ok, figured it out, had a bad SC board (7 blinks). Had to remove a whloe bunch of 5N2307 FETS to finally find a bad one. Ordered a new one, installed it and the TV is back online.
