Keeps shutting down randomly. will run fine for a while then shuts down. acts like you just turned off the key. Will not restart for a few minutes. If key is on you can pull plug on computer let set for 5 sec and plug back in. Truck starts and runs. sometimes it will shutdown again in a mile or 2. Other times Randomly. never at the same place or time. Have replaced computer with spare. removed or replaced fusible links. changed fuel shutoff relay. Pickup in distributor is a few years old.

check your catalytic converter for clogged up.
disconnect the exhaust pipe before the cat and run the engine to see if it still cut off.
if it run better, then that's the problem

Fuel injected or carb? Make sure fuel line itself is clear. Some pumps are designed to self regulate (carb systems) some continually pump and a psi regulator sends back the excess fuel back to the tank (fuel inj systems) If the line is obstructed then pump can't deliver fuel fulltime.
If you think pump is not on consistent, try running a dedicated wire through a switch directly to the pump. If it works then you are looking for an electrical fault going to pump. Good luck.
Engine stalling and rough run
issue at low speeds
This problem
is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and
throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use
carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC
chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is
running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the
speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and
blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the
negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If this doesn't improve the problem you have mechanical problems in the engine like a low cylinder die to worn rings or leaking valve seats.

No crankcase sensor to old.
only have 3 relays in truck one if fuel shutoff. one is airconditioning relay. not sure what third if for but changed it as well. It is stick no autocrap transmissions for me.
checked computer fault codes only had a 34 fault code. Do not have cruise on truck.
have you tried a coolant temp sensor
replaced coolant temp sensor. still does same thing. what ever sensor was fouling up before I thank finally died completly today. Or my wiring harness is shot. not sure which.
There is a crank position on your truck
nope uses Distributor and pickup basicly the same system since 73. The only difference is it is using a self diagnostic ignition control modual (computer). Instead of the old one used from 72 to 89.
ok my 1988 dakota had one that is why I was thinking. maybe try an other computer
Tried that have another 90 dakota just for parts. Has to be a sensor somewhere heating up and shorting out. Forcing the computer to shutdown.
how about the coolant temp sensor
Changed temp sensor already.
