Landice L8 Cardio trainer giving messages on readout P4 and L5

My Ladice treadmill sometimes won't start and the readout panal says "P4". Usually begins once I stop and start it again. Now the incline changes in the middle of the workout from 3 to 2 and sometimes won't rise up the the designated number. Tonight, the display came on but the motor would not start,. After three tries it finally started. Do you know that these messages might mean? I can find them NOWHERE online and I live about 5 hrs from the nearest dealer.,

I've definitely never seen "P4" on a Landice before so I'm not entirely sure on that one. The other issues seem like they might be associated with stuck keys on the console. It's a very common problem if you have it in a humid area and/or it gets sweat on it during the work out. Being that it's a Landice, you should have a part warranty on it. Have you contacted them?

SOURCE: Landice L7 gives me a L5 reading on the screen

Your L7 error looks like L5 , but its really LS which mean lost signal. Unplug unit take motor shroud off then plug unit back in wall outlet. When looking in front unit you will see a Motor control board and there are LED lit up one of them should be an amber light this is you speed sensor which is attached to the top of your motor. Manually rotate the fly wheel and see if that light flickers if it does then your speed sensor is working properly if not replace speed sensor. The next thing to look at is the motor brushes to if they are worn unplug unit you should see slitted caps on both side of motor remove them if they are less than 3/8" they need replacing. That for the most parts should take of your problem. Call Landice @ 1800-526-3423 have the serial# handy their on all the components in the unit

SOURCE: landice L8 has an L5 error displayed wont start up

is a speed sensor problem or the card connectors are wired specifically where the motor wires, sometimes that part is too hot and breaks the solder

Landice L8 automatically turns on by itself

It is either the control board or the overlay. I would think it is probably the start button on the overlay that is stuck. The solution is to replace the overlay.

Landice 8 over speed protection

first screen shows any error number? for what you describe I think it is simply speed sensor, try to check the cables leading to the sensor card. and then checks whether the sensor is aligned correctly.
Check speed sensor alignment.
It should be within 1/16" of the flywheel
and parallel to the flywheel.
Is it out of position?
