Are you shure it has to do with the resistor, All the resistor does is controls,The different fan speeds, If you are geting no power to it, Have you check if the fuse blew for it? Or the relay for it could be defective, Or the blower motor might be burn,t out,

Where is the heater rheostat located on my 95 GEO tracker I

If you were sitting in the front passenger seat, the blower motor is just above your right foot, the rheostat (or blower motor resistor) is just above and to the left of the motor.

Why dose my heater only run on the 4th speed of my 2005 pontiac g6 ?

You will need to replace the "Blower Motor Resistor", which is not difficult for the average person to do. Here's a video demonstrating how to do it:

2002 dodge stratus v6 4dr sedan. the a/c worked fine but the heater stopped working. had the thermostat & actuator replaced. now the heater works but not the a/c. how do I make the a/c work agai

Used to be vacuum controlled, but now the doors inside the heater/AC suitcase (housing under the dash for the heater and a/c unit) are electrical rheostat controlled, and tend to give problems. These rheostats open and close the doors used to control where hot air and cold air is tunneled to the dash vents. (the hot to cold dial on the dash is a rheostat which controls an electric motor connected to a door, which opens for hot air, and closes for cold air). The rheostat or motor, it controls, has gone bad. Find an independent garage that you like, (NOT the stealership) and the price to fix will be a lot cheaper and more reliable. Good Luck

The heater fan only works on full power is there a rheostat on the s type 1999 model 3L petrol

What you need is to replace the blower motor resistor, this is what controls the fan speeds, this is the most common problem with this type of problem, replace the resistor and it will solve your problem.

2003 Ford F150 Heater fan problem

The problem is the Blower Motor Resistor Pack is defective. Purchase the Pack so you will know what you are looking for. It can be located in a few locations. It can be behind the glove box, behind the kick panel on the passenger side, or next to the blower motor. I am almost certain yours is located behind the glove box but not 100% sure. Hope this helps you.

The heater/AC in my '05 G6 only blows on high. Do I have to take it in to a dealer or can I reset it myself?

Your blower motor speed is controlled by a Blower Motor Control Processor and a HVAC control module. You should take your car to a Dealership.

2005 G6

If the heater fan on your car only works on "High" the problem is more than likely the resister assembly in your blower circuit or poor connections at the resister assembly. When the switch is in the "high" position the current does not flow through the resister assembly it flows directly to the coil of the blower relay. When the switch is in "low", "medium 1", or "medium 2" position the current flows through 1, 2, or all 3 of the resistors in the resistor assembly which results in the 3 different lower speeds. Check the resister assembly and replace if needed.
