I had same issue with a new VW37 LCD just purchased at Walmart. Vizio tech support said it should not be making the buzz sound and to exchange for another unit. In the meantime I noticed if you go into Setup, Advanced Video Settings, and then turn DCR off the noise goes down considerabley so perhaps just a quality issue overall vs. defect.

I bought my Vizio smart TV from ABC Warehouse 2014 it is not even 3 year old yet . when i truned it on the other day it maked a buzzing noise and shut off and it will not turn back on HELP PLEASE!

Something in the power supply gave out, your going to need a new board, don't order boards by model and make, use the part number on the board...you can get a replacement board from shopjimmy.com or ebay

Need help troubleshooting TV

You need to check your inputs. Make sure your tv is set to the same input that you are plugged into. Ex. If you are plugged into HDMI 1 then your TV SOURCE needs to be on HDMI 1.

Hannspree tv is making a buzzing sound

First I am glad helped with the other issue.

This issue needs to be defined: do you hear the buzz when sound is at zero? I not the issue is in audio circuit or signal to set----If you hear the buzz with sound off it is likely something in the set vibrating hard enough to make the noise.

What causes this is a part that is not bad but noisy--there are ways to deal with this depending on set.

My real concern is if set is opened etc it will void your warranty!

If 5 days old most major stores will take it back or issue credit so you can replace the set----makers will often play a shell game--tell you it MUST go in for repair.

Most major stores have an unwritten rule here: set can be returned within first 30 days and exchange/replaced for ANY reason.

Seen ones returned because owner did not like the color of the cabinet etc.

If I know what type of set it is (has a picture tube, LCD etc and you have no warranty I can tell you what to look for and a possible way to fix it---Don't void the warranty if you have one by just opening it.

Saw a (will not call him stupid) person with a 1,000 set here yesterday which clearly had a problem and was 3 days old open the set and in doing so removed the labels there to indicate if someone has tampered with the set---now he has no warranty and a non working set.

My refrigerator is six years old and for the past two months is making a loud buzzing noise. The frequency has increased over time. What could it be? It's an Amana side by side model ASD2626HE. Sounds like...

Saw your post a week late but the sound could be the start relay on compressor is weaking or if the water is turned off to ice maker the water control valve will try to fill ice maker if the ice make switch is left on and has no water. I will send a manual shortly, Sea Breeze

Our 3 year old Vizio plasma TV just made a popping sound and the screen went blank, then about 30 seconds later, a horrible piercing buzz started and we had to unplug the TV to get it to stop...Any ideas?

It just happened to me on 4/7/10. My vizio p50hdm made a popped noise & did not turn on. I purchased the tv at costco on June 2005 w/amex card. I pulled my amex statements from 2005 then called costco with my member # and they found the transaction. If you purchased the tv before 4/2007 the item is grandfathered with the 100% customer garrantee. After 4/2007 the return policy changed to 90 day money back return 2 year warranty and you get an additional year if you purchase w/amex card for a total of 3 years. Be very nice to the Costco people even if they give you an attitude on the return of tv. I got a credit for $2200. I just purchased a samsung led tv 46 series6 back lit & internet. Amazing Technology. & I Love Costco

Loud buzzing noise on vizio tv

It sound like you may have sound processor problem which is part of the main board, I would also look at the 12vdc from power supply to make sure it is clean DC.

Vizio GV42l buzzing

Vizio makes an ok LCD, but if you notice they no longer make plasma. they stopped last year. Anyways. the buzzing sound is semi serious, it sounds as though you have a capacitor leaking. It is best to get it fixed before it goes out all the way, with it buzzing it will be easier to identify. Best of luck

Vizio Speaker Making a Buzzing Noise

My 32" vizio I bought a week ago does the same things.

Buy an external sound system for the tv. Turn the speakers off in the TV menu. Hook the sound system up to the out speaker hookups on the tv.

You will not only have better found, you will fix the speaker buzz problem.
