Could be Facebook is disabled through your router or anther means, hard to fix with such limited description. Leave me a comment with exactly what comes up when you try to access Facebook and any other relevant information and I will try to help more.

I don't think it matters the computer type, although I am a Lenovo user. You need a VPN or site unblocker (so long as its not a hardcore government ban in which case proxy servers or tor browser are better). I use the torch browser, and when I don't use that I just use the hola extension, here are the URLs: http://www.torchbrowser.com/, and https://hola.org/
Hi Friend,
As you have mentioned that the laptop is a school laptop, it might be possible that the school administrator has blocked that website. Unfortunately, without the administrator permission you can not access the facebook from the school laptop.
I hate to be the bad bearer of news but the software that your school has loaded on your computer is setup to prevent you from visiting any sites they decide that are not school related. The only person that can give you access is your schools IT department there are no hacks and if you try to hack it the computer will lock you out! I suggest you use your home computer for Myspace, facebook and any other social sites.
You'll very rarely find Proxy/unblockers sites that are unblocked.
If you find a website that's meant to be blocked, but isn't blocked yet, it'll soon be blocked!
A few months ago, my friends found a website that'll let you go on any website, Facebook, Myspace, & Redtube, but within a week of the website being constantly used, it was eventually blocked! :(
What you need is a teacher's net account, or a tafe account.
