I found the answer on other posts on this website and it saved me $500! I had the same problem with my Dacor Model ECD2278 double oven. After I ran the self cleaning the top oven would not come on and the lower oven ran almost double the temp that was set. To fix: disconnect power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Open the oven door. You'll see the grille/grate/steel cover in front of the door latch mechanism, and it should have about 4 screws holding it in place. Remove the screws then remove the grille cover. On my model the tiny red reset button was on the right side on top of a black plastic round piece which is about 1" in diameter. Press the little button down til it clicks.

SOURCE: My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning

I also have a Dacor Model PCS130. This solution worked AND saved me from spending $50-$105 for a service technician to come out just to look at the problem. The high temperature sensor tripped when I kept the door open part way while broiling (never listen to friends who don't have the same oven as yours). Afterwards, I couldn't get the oven to go above the prebake temperature of 135Ā°F using any of the settings (bake, broil, convection bake, etc...). I called Dacor customer service and they told me about the high temperature sensor but wouldn't say how to reset it. They suggested I call a third party technical service company and gave me their numbers. But, I'm glad I found this site... All you have to do is open the oven door and you'll see the grille/grate/steel cover plate where the door latch sticks out of. If you look inside, you can see the electronics that operate the door latch as well as the temperature sensor unit a little farther back. You can even see the RED reset button. But, it's a little too far back for you to press it without removing the cover plate. 6 screws is what holds my cover plate in place. Once that's off, you can reach in and press the RED reset button (I pressed it twice just to make sure) and you'll hear it click. Screw the cover plate back in place. Close the oven door and test it out. It took my oven about 5 minutes to heat up past 135Ā°F so I was unsure if the problem was fixed or not during that time. But, once the oven heated up sufficiently, the temperature began climbing fairly quickly and I was able to breath a sigh of relief. It works! This is such an easy fix, I don't know why Dacor customer support doesn't just tell us how to do it ourselves instead of paying for a service tech to come out and do the same thing. Even better, maybe they should make the reset button more easily accessible (like on the control panel) if they're concerned about people getting in and messing up the other electrical connections when trying to reset the high temperature switch. Computers are far more technically advanced than your oven and THEY have reset/reboot buttons right in front.

SOURCE: Dacor Oven Won;t Heat

power surges can short out the electonics in appliances. If you can locate where the tech sheet is and I would say its behind the control panel on top, look at the wiring diagram and see if there are any replaceable fuse's. Or a resetable fuse for the heating element. If not check to see if power is getting to the main control bord. If there is power there you may need to replace the control.

SOURCE: bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.

Dacro Wall oven (electric) does not heat past 345 degrees on bake or convection bake but broiler works and bottom oven works fine (for bake, convection bake and broil).

it could be the oven temp sensor rod located near the top of the inside of the oven,or possibly the bake element has a hot spot on the element and can no longer pass enough current thru this spot to correctly heat to your settings a hot spot on the element will look discolored in this area

Our Dacor ECS130SBK convection oven no longer heats, after using the broiler and leaving the door open.

The element is probably failed. Using an oven in this manner (turned on with the door open) is not good.

The element is replaceable, and will require some electrical tests to confirm the failure.

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.

My dacor oven model ECS130SBK is very slow to heat. Sometimes reaching the desired temp. after a long wait. Sometimes it never gets there.

I found the bottom element was not getting any power by using a volt/ohmmeter and a test method described elsewhere. (Shut off power, hold down COOK TIME while turning on power. then within 30 seconds press each mode you want to test and only that element/fan/etc will turn on. Cancels by itself after 30 sec.)

I traced the wire back to the relay (wire checked good) and there was no power getting through the relay although it clicked. Removed the relay board to replace it and found a cold solder joint on the "out" terminal with obvious past arcing carbon. Cleaned and soldered the pin and the oven now works normally.
WHY THE SLOW TO HEAT? The oven turns on all the elements to preheat faster and when it reaches your set temp it beeps and now only turns on the element you selected to maintain the temperature. (Bake or Convection) Our malfunctioning ovens would then cool since the element is not working properly and it must go back into preheat and keep cycling.
BY THE WAY- Don't ever use 4 hours on self clean it kills the boards and/or display. I also put a house fan in front of the oven and blow it into the lower grill to take away some of the heat on the two boards. Learned the hard way!

My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning. No heat but everything else works The bake, broil, and convection elements on my Dacor CPS130 electric wall oven will not heat. Ā The oven has...

like another person stated-from the front behind the door, take off the 6 screws and the cover by the latch. there is an "oven hi temp limit switch" It is crome with 2 heavy black wires connected to it. On the back side of this is a small red button which will reset the limit switch. I had the same issue (everything worked except the any of the heating elements) and quickly resolved.

Dacor Oven - convection fan stays on while on "bake" setting

Question: does the unit appear to hold the correct temperature? Most convection units only turn the heating elements on and off...not the fan. If the unit is reporting operating temp and then taking other direction...and it is cooking right...you're done.
