All color cartridges are empty, but black cartridge is full. I won't let me print using black ink only.
The printer would need all cartridges to have sufficient ink levels to continue printing - that's to prevent damaging the printhead. Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors
are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.
To save on your ink investment, try printing in draft mode and by making sure that your printing preferences is set to print using black ink only.
This piece of $#%T printer is designed to make you buy lots of ink cartridges even when you don't really need them, under the guise of "preventing damage to the print head". My advice is get a different printer or a cartridge chip resetter so that you can use a full cartridge as a full cartridge.

Thank you, wish I had known this before I bought the printer. But thanks anyway.
