The charger manufacturer is Clore Automotive. The part number is ESA26 (http://www.cloreautomotive.com/sku.php?id=274).

If you know anything about electronics, you can determine the input voltage and current requirements for the charger and purchase a generic power pack. The cord connection to the charger can be matched and purchased from an electronic store like FRYs.

Dear power cord is use for charging your laptop battery so if you don't use power cord then you will be unable to charge your laptop battery. But this is truth that if your battery charge is okay then no need power cord but tell me bro how can you charge your laptop battery without power cord. This is totally funny. Yes one way, that is you can charge your battery by using dc adapter. But if you do it i am saying you that you just going to spoil your laptop and also battery.

My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

Any battery will lose the ability to take a charge if left unused for over a year. Replace all the batteries, charge them fully, and re-charge them at least once a month.

When a question is presented to any forum, model number(s) are essential. Please provide any that you have and if you would. Just to make sure I'm fully understanding what you're asking, would you please rephrase your question?

A lot of models don't come with an AC/DC wall charger and it must be purchased separately but I'm fairly certain there is an alternate method to charge your unit. I'll be able to specifically determine how, once I have the model number.

FYI: The VEC070 1.5 Amp Automatic Charger is a commonly used charger for this type of jump-start system. Don't buy anything until we're certain.

The batteries need charging and when you plug in the charger and the power is on the lights wil flash indicating that the charger is plugged in. Now look at the rear of the chair near where the charger cord plugs into the chair and you should see a voltmeter. With the charger plugged in the voltmeter will indicate about 5-6 amps and after charging overnight the voltmeter should be reading 0 amps. If when you plug in the charger cord and the voltmeter indicates 0 amps then I would suspect that the charger is not working or that the fuse is blown in the charger circuit. The only way to see if the batteries charge would be to borrow or find an offboard charger that will plug into the charger port located under the front of the joystick and after charging for 10-12 hours see if the battery level lights show full charge Hope this helps
