Since neither works, it would appear there is no power to them. Generally, there is a transformer in the attic or elsewhere which drops the voltage from 110 ac to 12 or 24 volts. Using a voltmeter which you can buy for as little as $5.00, measure the voltage at the doorbell. If there is voltage there, then check for a bad connection to the doorbell/intercom. If there is no voltage, look for the transformer and measure voltage on both sides of it. If you have 110 volts on one side, but no voltage on the other, it is bad and should be replaced.

For the IQ America doorbell (mine is a DW2860), the diode that was packaged was a 1N4004. Search for it on eBay. They are very cheap.

Al to b honest id replace the Solenoid and try again and hope it works ok....Sorry i cant b more positive.... iv a funny feeling it is worse.

Take it back to the place of purchase, the keypad control board is breaking down making this a manufacture defect.

Check to see if you "minor" flooding watered a jack or you have a cable lying in the water or got wet. Examine the pins on each jack and cord. Or, as an alternative if you can unplug all but the main phone from the jacks (assuming there are modular jacks for each extension) then plug them in one at a time until the problem comes back, you may be able to pinpoint the bad cable run.

Here's a phone system lesson. Panasonic discontinued your TD phone system about 8 years ago, so you either got a super deal or the system has been installed that long ago. Restrictions are programmed into the system by an installer and manager. There's a Class of Service override access by dialing 47 on the intercom and a code. Since the 7436 is a special phone, it's probably the one attached to extension 101. If that phone is restricted, clearly whoever owns the system doesn't want whatever you're dialing to be dialed.

Now you wouldn't be asking "someone on the internet" for instructions on how to beat the restrictions would you?

Too close to each other interferences move it a aparts couple hundred from each other.Should work,with no problems.

Weak antenna or reception.
-If any antenna then extended to the maximum. If not then how about keep it on a higher table to see what happened.
